He was reviled of men
Spat upon, beaten with many strips
They hung him naked upon the tree
But He knew the purpose for his life 
So amidst the great pain and agony
The Son of Man, prayed;

Father forgive them 
For they know not what they do 
This is my sincere cry to you

He was martyred for preaching God’s Word

The achievement of his death

I was Born into bondage of sin
Trapped in a dimensional prison
I came into this world speaking lies
But before the foundation of the world
A work was done for me 
The lamb was slain in the back part of God's mind
Jesus Christ the lamb of God laid down his life on Calvary 
No greater love was ever shown
Or have I ever known

Now I understand the achievement 
that his death brought
This bleeding lamb who died for me 
upon that tree
He purchased me from sin's captivity 
Once and for all sin's question was answered
I've been accepted in the beloved
I've past from death unto life

I’m the reason and purpose of his death
By his predestination He chose me 
unto an expected end 
Now I have a new and living way
Through the merits of his Grace
 I don't have to fear 
My enemy is dead, 
his power's been striped away

1. Я, как Илия, перед восхищеньем стою
На последнем отрезке пути.
Верю, что во мгновенье ока, я изменюсь,
Иордан я смогу перейти.
Хоть вода Иордана, смертельным влияньем,
Разлилась по всей земле,
Но победа в раскрытом пророческом Слове
Мне дана уже!

* Я свой взор устремляю лишь на Христа
Его Слово вмещаю, в Нём сила дана
Проявить обетованья, победить всё в испытаньях,
И победа сия есть вера моя!
От веры к вере я продвигаюсь,
И от влиянья земли отрываюсь,
Пробиваясь сквозь время и эти три измиренья
[побеждая давленье и земли притяженье]
(я парю где парят лишь орлы) 3р.

2. От плотских понятий больше я не питаюсь,
Что отчасти - прекращено.
Но лишь Ангельской пищей Твоей насыщаюсь,
Жизнь дарует мне Слово Твоё.
В Нём восстановленье и преображенье,
И вера против смерти встаёт,
Я Слову внимаю и в Нём пребываю,
Верой двигаюсь вперёд!

* Я свой взор устремляю лишь на Христа
Его Слово вмещаю, в Нём сила дана
Проявить обетованья, победить всё в испытаньях,
И победа сия есть вера моя!
От веры к вере я продвигаюсь,
И от влиянья земли отрываюсь,
Пробиваясь сквозь время и эти три измиренья
[побеждая давленье и земли притяженье]
(я парю где парят лишь орлы) 3р.

3. Становится всё давленье сильнее,
Наибольшая битва - сейчас.
Но под помазанием Елисея
Вижу больше есть Тех, кто за нас.
В эти дни смятения я не боюсь,
И не смущается сердце моё!
Все уловки врага Словом распознаю,
Есть в Израиле пророк!

Его Слово вмещаю, в Нём сила дана
