Last year, we released three remixes of one of the biggest progressive classics of all time, Valentino Kanzyani’s “Flying.” One of those remixers, Cid Inc, actually gifted us with two mixes, and the second is something truly special. Whereas his main mix was better suited for deep sets and small room environments, his VIP mix, energetic and more focused around its groovy bass line, gives DJ’s a spacious track for big rooms and peak moments. Irish duo Psycatron also contributed a huge mix to the first package. Label head Sharam decided he needed something a bit different for his sets, so for the past year he’s been playing an exclusive edit that is now available to everyone.

Kicking off a new series of reworks, Justin Martin and Timo Maas re-imagine two tracks from ‘Charmer’, the debut album from the mysterious enigma with the golden mask.

‘Charmer Remixed’ is the final act of Claptone’s debut album campaign; a collection of remixes which close the curtain on the ‘Charmer’ chapter but leave us all wanting more and anticipating what he has planned for us next.
 
Part 1 features reworks from Justin Martin and Timo Maas, both of which have already been causing a commotion on dancefloors over the holidays and picking up the support of Jamie Jones, Tensnake and Nic Fancuilli.

Justin Martin delivers his interpretation of ‘The Music Got Me’ with a peak-time juggernaut flecked with Claptone’s trademark emotion, whilst Timo takes us to the darker dancefloor of Circoloco with his twist of the noir ‘Puppet Theatre’ featuring Peter, Bjorn and John.

Part 1 is set for release on 23/1/17.

German techno star Timo Maas steps up with a debut release on Joris Voorn & Edwin Oosterwal’s Rejected label.

Maas is as busy as ever in 2017, building on decades of experience within the scene. His own label continues to set the techno agenda thanks in large part to his solo releases and collaborative work with James Teej and he even graced this year’s Grammys for his reworking of Paul McCartney alongside his Canadian production partner. Upcoming remixes of Moby are being hotly tipped ahead of release and this new single for Rejected is sure to add further fuel to the fire in what's looking like a very big year for Timo.

‘Silver Lines’ is a high pressure, multi-layered tune with paranoid vocals barely audible amongst scurrying drums and kicks, smooth synths and a dark sense of energy. It's a creepy cut that is restless and rhythmically fluid.

On the flip, ‘Creation’ is a funkier affair with synths skewed and twisted, ghoulish voices and an alien charm that will provide plenty of freaky moments. Always evolving and changing throughout its course, it’s another fantastic production from Maas.

Once again leading from the front, both Rejected and Maas have come correct on this latest release.

Fresh from their recent nomination for DJ Mag’s top North American label, My Favorite Robot is delighted to welcome an exciting partnership for its next EP: Body Language is the work of German techno titan Timo Maas and acclaimed UK producer, composer and sometime UNKLE associate Aidan Lavelle. In addition, Re.You comes correct with a remix that seals this fine deal.
Maas’s longstanding involvement in the scene sees him still at the top of his game in 2017. His own Rockets & Ponies label continues to set the techno agenda whilst he has seen multiple Grammy nominations and has collaborated with musical legends such as of Paul McCartney, Brian Molko (Placebo) & Kelis. His partner here, Aidan Lavelle, is a UK composer and producer who has worked with the Crosstown’s Rebellion label and Get Physical, has done many film scores and has also collaborated with Gorillaz, Ian Brown, Queens Of The Stone Age and many others.
Over the course of seven minutes, the essential ‘Body Language’ is an all consuming deep techno cut with absorbing atmospheres from the off. It is characterised by spine- tingling melodies that rise up the scale with real poise and serve to take you higher. The drums are warm and underlapping and the whole thing really sweeps you off your feet as grinding bass, crisp hits and sci-fi pads add colour in subtle but effective ways.
Berlin based Re.You from labels like Cocoon and Connected then steps up to add his own spin. The live show specialist flips the track into something more freaky and subversive, with eerie synths and stretched vocals filled with suspense and tension. It’s a sparse track underpinned by broad bass and languid synths and is one to really get in your head.
This is a stellar new single which is sure to prove a huge release for all concerned.

latest release forthcoming on supreme Berlin imprint, Mobilee. With an impressive remix package featuring
Rodriguez Jr. and Martin Buttrich to drop in the Summer.

The initial release in May delivers two variations of the title track. Opening with the original mixdown, We Were Riding
High is a sublime summer anthem. Over two years in the making, it’s a lucid after-hours track with an uplifting and
catchy vocal hook that unfolds and develops fluidly. The alternative edit utilises darker synths and drums, whilst still
retaining the positivity that make this track perfect for the coming summer months. This record is the result of Eric
Volta making the demo at an after-party at his studio. He then showed this to Timo Maas who in turn showed it to
Basti Grub who loved the track so much, they were inspired to develop it.
“What started as a night out in Berlin visiting Club Der Visionaire, Chalet and ending in Watergate continued into my
studio on Reichenbergerstrasse at about 9am. One of those fun afters which result in me grabbing whoever is near
me, a little drunk and a little high and just wanting to play instruments, synths - and JAM. As the lyric goes - We were

“A few days later I heard that demo and immediately ask Eric to finish it as it’s so unique and, as it sometimes goes, he
didn’t finish it. I asked him many times, roughly over a period of 2 and a half years until i sat with Basti in the studio,
played it to him and we immediately made a new version, Eric loved it. And here’s the result! We are all super proud of

Timo Maas is a storyteller. For him, it's never about back-to-back bangers or brainless hits, but 
about crafting, building, teasing and eventually pleasing. From hefty concrete funk to stripped-
back and brain-altering techno via psychedelic synths stronger than any drug, he knows exactly 
what to play and when. He has done so at every major club and festival on the planet from 
Tomorrowland to Kazantip, Creamfields to Coachella, while for 17 years during the golden years 
of Ibiza's Circoloco party at DC10 he was a regular guest, which is a testament to the fact that 
he has always stayed ahead of the times. 
Two-time Grammy Award-nominated Timo has made every shade of electronic music from 
famous remixes of Azzido Da Bass and Depeche Mode, leftfield reworks of Afro-Peruvian group 
Novalima and Indonesian all-female heavy metal band Voice of Baceprot via work with pop
