Joshua Vidal was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 24, 1981.  From an early age, music was a big influence in his life.  As a child he enjoyed all kinds of music from Motown to classic rock, blues, funk and disco – anything that would get you moving and had meaning.  
In 1997, he was introduced to an after-hours club in Detroit.  He was never a big fan of electronic music - he wasn’t exposed to it enough.  When he entered the club in the early morning hours, he felt a very pleasant vibe.  In most clubs there are a handful of people dancing to the same top 40 music…  This place was different.  Not one person was sitting down.  Everybody was dancing to this music that he had never heard before!  It was loud and the place pulsed with excitement!
He was mesmerized by the music and the reaction of the crowd.  Later that night he went over to the DJ booth area and found out that the type of music being played was HOUSE MUSC – he was hooked!
Within a month, he scrounged up enough money to buy a mixer and 2 turntables.  He found that the counts and matching beats came natural to him from playing instruments.  He booked some gigs at different venues.  He even played a radio show with the DJ that inspired him at the after-hours club – DJ Mike Scroogs. 
Joshua continued to DJ.  He played clubs in Detroit, Colorado Baltimore, D.C. , and Florida   He now resides in Baltimore, Maryland where he plays at a number of clubs as a regular.  His fans really enjoy his turntablish style on Jacking and very funky HOUSE music! Joshua never stops learning and growing with the music, he has met some truly wonderful people on his journeys and hopes for many more!
