Artists from Birmingham to Brazil have come together to create an eclectic album representing the broad spectrum of breakbeat sounds, from chilled out funky hip-hop to fierce, bassline-driven acid.

Every penny of the artists' and label's royalties will go directly to the charity, which supports anti-racist and anti-fascist activity and runs campaigns urging people to vote against fascist candidates in elections.

No other charity celebrates cultural differences like 'Love Music, Hate Racism' and no other music genre revels in sonic diversity more than the breaks scene. It's a match made in heaven.

Taking a detour from the world of funk, I've been exploring the sounds of west coast bass music. This EP includes 4 tunes of tightly edited glitch-hop, womping sub funk and epic builds landing into massive drops. It reminds me of our summer parties, in the forests of British Columbia and it's called "The Fade"

The Fade EP (Promo Mix)

The west coast of Canada has a vibrant music scene but of all the sounds you'll hear out here, there's nothing quite like the organic sound of West Coast Bass. This is a remix I did for <a href="http://www.sonicturtle.com">Adham Shaikh</a> (a Juno nominated Canadian producer) and I was thrilled to learn Adham likes the tune so much, he's placing it first on his new remix album: <a href="http://www.sonicturtle.com/refractions-vol-1">Refractions Vol 1</a>.

Adham and I have both rolled this melodic gem out to many gleeful audiences over the last year and it's the sort of tune where people throw their hands up in the air and laugh with delight when the bass drop hits. 

On April 20th (4.20 no doubt), this will finally be available as Adham releases his <a href="http://www.sonicturtle.com/refractions-vol-1">new remix album</a>. And it's an honour to have one of my tunes next to others from <a href="http://www.soundcloud.com/jpodtbc">JPod</a>, <a href="http://soundcloud.com/davidstarfire">David Starfire</a>, <a href="http://soundcloud.com/matthealien">Mat the Alien</a>, <a href="http://www.bluetechonline.com/">Bluetech</a> and <a href="http://soundcloud.com/nickodemusnyc">Nickodemus</a> to name a few.

The Funk Hunters & Timothy Wisdom - Ghetto Disco

I started working on some tunes with <a href="http://soundcloud.com/busta">Busta</a> before the summer of 2012. We'd send samples of work back and forth across the web as he was in Australia and I was in Canada. We were able to work around the clock due to the time difference and I was amazed at how our strengths as producers complimented each other so well. I'd work all day, wake up in the morning and see one of my tunes transformed into something even more brilliant. Then we had some fantastic comic style artwork done from our friend <a href="http://soundcloud.com/adam3">Adam3</a> in Japan and Giorgos (label boss of <a href="http://soundcloud.com/bombastic-jam">Bombastic Jam</a> and the man behind <a href="http://soundcloud.com/basement-freaks">The Basement Freaks</a>) offered to master and release the tunes. So now we truly have an EP that is a global collaboration effort, a greater sum as a whole than the individual pieces. Being Canadian - "I'm stoked!"

This is a mini-mix I put together showcasing all four tunes.
