Rising LA house/indie-dance artist SNBRN makes his Ultra Music debut with the release of “Raindrops”. Label owner Darin Epsilon presents his first ever mini-album for the 37th release on Perspectives.  ‘No Regrets’ is an exciting collection of new original tracks, remixes, and collaborations with an all-star cast that includes John Graham aka Quivver, Silinder, Tim Penner, and Alice Rose.

Widely regarded as the most influential and prolific figure of his genre in North America, Darin still manages to raise the bar for himself year after year.  2015 will go down as one of his biggest after a series of chart-topping releases on Sudbeat, Perfecto, and Selador.  Over the summer he signed with the prestigious Nightlaw Agency and even launched an official Beatport Play remix contest.  He had several important tour stops along the way such as Ministry of Sound London, Amsterdam Dance Event, Exchange LA, and South by Southwest in Texas.

Canadian born Tim Penner's decade-long experience working in the electronic music industry has given him his own unique perspective, with a style that blends influences from Techno, House, and Trance.  Genre-defying in its classification, his work has been championed by Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Above & Beyond, and Guy J, among many others.  Recently he’s been turning heads with his outstanding remixes of Max Graham and John 00 Fleming.

Save the best for last is a known expression, and we might have just lived up to that cliche with 'My Soul', the new single by Kasall & Cristian R featuring Amber Long, which is the last MNL release of 2015.

The Argentinian duo have been on a roll lately with numerous releases on A-list labels such as Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat, Flow Records, Movement Recordings and Lowbit to name a few. This time they collaborate with Canadian vocalist Amber Long who's a familiar face to the Manual family by now and see her return with very personal and emotion filled vocals on 'My Soul'.

On remix duties we welcome not one, not two, but three great artists on board! First up is Manual resident Dustin Nantais who adds a fierce 'Donna Summer-esque' arpeggiator bassline to give the song a bit of extra push. Greek artist Simos Tagias makes his Manual debut and serves us a bubbly bouncey deep take whilst another debutant, Subandrio goes for the epic peak time treatment in both a full vocal- and a dub version.

What a way to close down 2015! See you again next year?

The new year kicks off brilliantly for Sonar Kollektiv: April will see the release of “Eigengrau”, the new album by Mius, the project of Hungarian multi-instrumentalist Gergely Almos. Now we are already pampered with a little teaser, the digital single release of “Delusional” (including two exclusive remixes). Dóri Hegyi is one of the five different, stellar female singers Almos conducted to his studio in Budapest. Her voice radiates a therapeutic warmth which elevates the song, even for all its subtle production mastery and its ingenious arrangement, to sing-along hit potential. One of the two remixes is by Holland based Pitto, who already put his abilities to test on Sonar Kollektiv / Virgin with his release “Fly Like A Bird” last year, as well as with reworks for  Jah Wobble presents PJ Higgins and Kasar. This way the track creeps slowly towards the dance floor. Same applies for the remix by Alex Barck and ComixXx, the Berlin based label's brandnew inhouse production dream team. In contrast to Pitto's remix, the two sensitive like-minds leave all the room in the world for Hegyi's voice to unfold and come up trumps with an extra fat bassline you'd love nothing better than to embrace all night long.

One of the musical finds of 2014, Dutch duo, Huminal, have lit up melodic techno landscape with a collection of original EPs. "Knocking on the Sky" represented the pair's debut on Proton Music as a trio of exceptional remixes now ushers Huminal back into the Proton spotlight.

Revitalised by travels to Europe and a production epiphany in a small Portuguese town, Tim Penner's work over the course of 2015 has been a musical revelation. Always considered by the musical cognoscenti as a producer of rare talent, his work for Replug, Perspectives Digital and Stripped, among others, has seen the Canadian's work supported by the great and good of the DJ community. A regular on the Max Graham "Cycles" franchise, Penner's work for Proton has also been equally impressive. The "Pyrogen" and "The Tunnel" EPs showed his compelling original work and it is with great pleasure that we welcome Tim back after the success of Andre Sobota's "Signal"in 2015. Yin and Yang (n.) - the concept of duality forming a whole. A fundamental premise in Chinese philosophy now transposed to the electronic dance industry through the creation of Proton "Editions". Through encyclopaedic knowledge of the 800+ strong Proton roster of labels Tripp Baronner has envisioned a new concept of the principle of seemingly polar opposites, coming together as interconnected and independent universal forces - life and death, the dark and the light: one complete entity.

From a passion for underground progressive house at opposite ends of the audio spectrum - the deep, shadowy atmospheres to the blissful, shimmering melodies, "Yin" and "Yang" were born in an effort to represent this phenomenon in musical form.
