What would we do without them: Those people that turn a boring weekend or a lackluster night out into something that we later remember with a mischievous smile and a blissful sparkle in our eyes? Those walking sources of reckless party energy that even lure the old guys from the bar back onto the dance floor? Nelli is exactly this kind of person, and Sahara, her debut on 3000Grad, is exactly this kind of record. Transforming the infectious energy of a newcomer into a rolling and twisting groove, she clearly aims at the hustle and bustle of the peak time. The old producer guys she entices with this kind of sound are Mollono.bass and Kollektiv Ost, whose remixes expand the atmospheric bandwidth of the EP into two neighbouring, yet entirely different dimensions of deep and driving dance music.

Chris and Justus met in Berlin at the beginning of their DJ careers and shared their love for the city's club culture. Together, they decided to form a collective and bring their vision of the perfect party to life. In September 2018, they hosted their first event at the well-known Kaffee Burger club, founding @beschaeftigungstherapie [BSTHP]. Since then, they have organized many showcase events in well-known Berlin clubs like KitKat, Mensch Meier, Birgit&Bier and Polygon as well as hosted parties in unique underground locations. BSTHP mainly revolves around bringing friends and acquaintances together to shake off the everyday stress and enjoy the moment. Although the party family is getting bigger and bigger, the familiar atmosphere of the very first party remains the trademark of all parties.

Not all first times are really great, but my first time playing at Acid Bogen in @kater_blau a couple weeks ago really really surpassed what I had envisioned and could have wished for the occasion. Initially, I was supposed to play B2B once again with my dear friend @janoma, but unfortunately he couldn't be present on that day. Luckily, the slot was perfect for me alone as well - early Saturday morning, sunrise time.

I absolutely love to play sunrise (and sunset 😉) sets, as they are perfect for dwelling between light and darkness. In those early hours, when tiredness kicks in, but the longing to connect and to dance is stronger, the atmosphere tends to be very inviting for warmth, charm, depth, dreaminess and intimacy. And so it was, in the so called here's and now's which took place then. I think I had never seen Acid Bogen so full at that time of the morning as in the last hour of my set (: More important than that, I had the right people by my side supporting me, which makes all the difference!! All of this together simply created such an amazing vibe for the brand new day that just started. A day which I don't want to ever forget ❤️ so much gratitude to all the dancers who danced their souls out, especially to my long-term listeners and those closer ones which I carry dearly in my heart 🙏

Ever since I first stood at this magical floor as a young raver, it's been a dream of mine to play there. When I arrived at Südkreuz last Sunday, I got a call from Sisyphos asking me if I would like to play at the Hammahalle because the Dampfer was too crowded. 
My answer: OF COURSE!!!
The rest was just a dream from the first to the last second.

Flowerpowder are Boudewijn Zeldenthuis (17) and Gerolf Naaktgeboren (15) from the small Dutch town of Nijmegen (The Netherlands). Fleeing the rural monotony and boredom of Nijmegen at a very early age to travel to Eindhoven, they first met their idols at legendary 1990s clubs like "De Feijnster", "Sytstem X" or "Paradisco".
First sonic experiments soon resulted in notable releases and high profile bookings in reputable clubs all around the globe. Heavily influenced by their first long-distance flight to Trinidad and Tobago in the incredibly hot summer of 2005, both producers started to reconcile their beneluxian musical preferences with a pinch of afro-base and zambo-rave. In their comeback release "Sprizztour EP" Flowerpowder are reinventing the idea of transparent aestival dance music with an irresistible groovy drive while staying rigorously faithful to their roots in Dutch ambient trance techno. Although their ascent to the very top of the global EDM elite does not seem to ever slow down, Boudewijn and Gerolf have managed to stay grounded and never refuse to have - as they say - "a dutchi with the brudis".

This set covers different progressive and melodic sounds, and the huge variety is what I love the most about these genres. I starts out with a laid back Mita Gami track, which vocal chops hooked me immediately. This track is not the first to feature these particularly rhythmic Aaahs, but they will always get me. I love the cheesy brass synth and the groove of the track. I find they give it some kind of 80s mood and make it a perfect opener. “Jupiter” keeps a bit of that vibe and adds some energy. “Arrival at Daylight” features some lovely 80s synths as well. I do love the buildup in the bridge. “The Lynx” is my latest, still unreleased track with a groovy bass. It reflects the optimism and hope I have about the upcoming summer (Party yes please.) “Dusk 28” shows another variation of the plucky melodies, and I fancy the vocals. “Orchard” adds some more energy, followed by “Fiery Red”, which is my favourite in this set. Simple, straight and so dancey. The melody in the end is quite nice, and it was a bit tricky to mix it with another track. I kept only the first bass note of my “Ad caelum” Remix so no other melodic part conflicts with it. “Lyna” opens the more melodic part of the set. “Luminous” has a classical groove and the leads make me wanna dance. About “Kerberos Revisited” I needn’t loose too many words. Follows “Relief” by another well-established producer - I got that track from the CD album ‘Blitzbahn’. “Bird vision” has a ton of nice instruments in there and as many well-set patterns, it closes the set together with a reference to the opener.
