Originality is essential if one intends on establishing longevity but also becoming a formidable force in the arena of hip-hop. At the tender age of 11, Queens bred emcee, Jay Cavalier, developed a keen ability to maneuver words thus him majoring in the art of Hip-Hop. Rather than simply settle for being an average listener, Jay opted to emulate his idols – ranging from Jay-Z to 50 Cent – and tackle upon the challenge of being a rapper. With little resources at his disposal – a boombox and karaoke machine – he created magic with this vivid imagination and heartfelt reality tales involving events in his life. With endless drive and dedication, Jay would evolve into the musician he is today.  Jay has wowed critics and Angels Camp audience members alike with his infallible stage performances.  By grooming himself on the sport of performing, he excelled at an immeasurable rate. He was even crowned victorious at showcases such as “Faces in the Crowd” at the legendary S.O.B’s and also the “BQE Hip-Hop Shop Showcase.” While continuing to perform and his last mixtape "Tunnel Vision" under his belt, Cavalier is preparing to release his second project titled "Pieces Of Me" The Album. Jay Cavalier is prepping to be the next freshman ready to breakout and stamp his name on the game.

aprtment is a house & r&b collective formed during the pandemic, originally made up of producer (dean m.f johnson), vocalist (shea soul) and dj (parismatiq), and now joined by dj (miamor) as part of the collective. with nothing but time on their hands, they made music and invited creatives into their aprtment with the aim of showcasing that some light can come out of a dark situation
