Binaural Beat track with river sounds.  River recorded in Imnaha, Oregon. Binaural beats are a way of synchronizing your brain waves (which are measured in hertz) with the hertz of the binaural beat.  The brain has a frequency following response which causes this to occur.  These can help induce states of relaxation, meditation and help to relieve anxiety and stressed out states.  This works best with headphones because binaural beats are panned hard left and right which forces the brain to synchronize the two tones.

here's a basic rundown of the brains states:

Beta - 30hz-13hz - your normal awake state, in higher ranges or above 30hz you may be experiencing stress.  In this case, you gotta chill!

Alpha - 13z-8hz - a relaxed and reflective state

Theta - 8hz-4hz - a very meditative state or getting drowsy and drifting off, if your sleepy)

Delta - 4hz and below - deep sleep or a very deep meditative state. Buddhist Monk's brainwaves have been measured in this state during meditation.

In the unlikely event that you experience any unusual physical or mental discomfort, immediately discontinue use.

These sounds were recorded mostly near Dacula and Atlanta, GA. The Binaural Beats on this go from a relaxed 6hz to a morning "wake up" of 10hz.  I have also just read that 10hz was good for stimulating the brain to release serotonin and good if you may be suffering from depression. Yahoooo...Enjoy!!

Good Morning, Meditation (Binaural Beats 6hz, 8hz and 10hz)

After talking with a friend then and learning a little more about ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), I did some research to find out more about it.  I also wanted to learn if the brainwave tracks I have been making might help.

I learned that ADD is actually the opposite of what I had (anxiety and mild OCD).  So that people who have a tendency towards ADD have brainwaves naturally in the Theta range (this is a lower range).  Alpha and Theta is what most of my tracks are currently attempting to get the mind into (this helps most people relax),  however it seems that in the case of ADD what a person needs is to get into Beta Range (a more focused state).  So I created some tracks in this range..
