Rising out of Argentina’s electronic underground and making their Replug debut are EANP. Having worked together since 2014, it wasn’t until 2018 that Buenos Aires residents Ezequiel Anile & Nicolas Petracca decided to coin the EANP alias for their collaborative efforts. Now firmly established, the moniker has become synonymous with quality progressive music. Continued support from genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, along with key releases for Balance Music, Mango Alley and Or Two Strangers have made the Argentinean duo a much in-demand act. Now coming off a remix for Clubsonica, EANP makes a welcome debut on Cid Inc’s Replug Records with ‘Estereogramas’.

Much lauded for their dark yet emotive sounds, EANP continues to explore that marriage on ‘Estereogramas’. Wrapped within a fluid rhythmic shell are muscular beats, wavy basslines and a myriad of tantalizing effects. The duo’s storyboarding takes hold as drone-like guitars meander through a dense percussive forest and multiple shades of light, before opening further as the main break commences. The interlude showcases EANP’s propensity for genuine musicality, as evocative harmonies continue to emerge and shapeshifting effects sweep across the stereo field, eventually giving way to a thunderous drop and driving finale.

Travelling further into emotive territory, the release concludes with the heartfelt sounds of ‘Lydia’. On a backbone of commanding beats and chugging bass stabs arrives a storyboard of buzzing synths and metallic rhythms. Juxtaposed to perfection, it’s this heady amalgamation of sound which manifests the duo’s rugged approach, and ultimately sets the stage for a glowing centrepiece. Ping-pong melodies create a vibrant musical environment, as EANP’s trademark dreamy pads breeze in, creating the most tangible moment of bliss on the EP and spearheading a thrilling finale.

In a year that has seen EANP be choosey in their projects, the duo’s Replug debut lands at an appropriate time, offering a unique look into two creative minds that continue to evolve and push the boundaries of progressive music.

With his second full EP on SNOE, the mystical Alec Troniq delivers two new bangers that are destined to set every dance floor they come across on fire. “Key Mo” is the title track, and the sound is dirty, rough and ecstatic at the same time, just as we love it. An eerie synth introduces the whispering vocal building up to a big momentum where the track erupts in fury. 

Andreas Henneberg has joined in on the EP with his own interpretation of “Key Mo”. The heavy bassline in the remix vibrates along the synths and skilfully molded vocal elements from the original, giving it a true Henneberg touch while still keeping the oh, so explosive style. Rounding up the EP is “Chivy”, a slightly lighter but not less groove infested tune with a whirlwind of sounds working together towards the addictive, synth underlined drop where you just can’t stand still.

Hailing from the progressive house hotbed of Tel Aviv, Sahar Z has been a fixture of his country's electronic underground for over two decades. As an artist on influential imprints such as Balance Music, Bedrock, Lost & Found and microCastle, Sahar has firmly etched his place in the genre's history. Newcomer Vic F was introduced to the world through the duo's debut collaboration 'Ollie'. Released in March of 2018 on UK behemoth Anjunadeep, it's joyous, summery sounds were a staple in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy Mantzur and Khen. Now coming together for just their second ever project, Sahar Z and Vic F land on EDGE with 'Whispers in The Dark'. 

Spread across three tracks it's the mystical charm of 'Whispers In The Dark' that gets the journey underway. Anchored by dulcet beats, hypno-grooves and sultry rhythmic structures, it's a production that flows through a myriad of vocal motifs. Cross cultural in ethos and dramatic in delivery; it's spirited wails, tantalizing tones and meditative arps form a free flowing narrative which delivers it's spiritually uplifting message.

The release continues in fine fashion with the exquisite vibes of 'Guts Over Fear'. Beginning with smooth bass stabs, acidic designs and drone-like atmospheres, it's effortless cadence powers forward, while layers of drums assemble in a lush organic space. Surreal and dream like, sonic artefacts and hazy harmonics trail across the framework, before a gaseous interlude effortlessly shifts energy into a glowing finale. 

Rounding out the collection is 'Spinner' which finds Sahar & Vic crafting their own unique brand of cosmic funk. Esoteric and groovy, it showcases the more techno inspired side of the duo's repertoire.
