So a while back, I was asked (by someone who randomly found me online - gotta love the internet!) to rework this Plain White T's song.  They wanted the song to be used at their wedding, as the song for their first dance as a couple.  They wanted a slower version, more suited for a wedding - so this is what I came up with.

Oddly enough, a few weeks later, someone found THAT version online, and wanted to know if THEY could use my version at THEIR wedding - and asked if it was possible to have it work as a duet, as if the man/woman were talking to each other.  So I enlisted the help of my friend Nikki, we tracked her parts in an afternoon, and this is what the final product was!  Hope you dig!

I've always wanted to hear what melodic percussive finger style guitar would sound like in more of a pop singer/songwriter context, and with "Right Now", I had a blast combining two styles of music that I love that are also really different from each other. Also want to say thank you to my fans that have been supportive of me exploring all these different styles. I'll be putting out a new song in a few weeks that's also unlike anything I've released :)

I wrote this song when I was coming out of a self-manufactured existential mess. I started to take more time to actively look out at the world around me as opposed to thinking about myself and my purpose in this infinite universe all the time. For some reason I was listening to an internal monologue that said my life didn't mean anything, but the more I looked out at the beauty and love that had been surrounding me the whole time, the quieter that pointless voice in my head became. I'm happy that I'm here, that we're all here right now.
