This is a live recording for Virtual Burning Man 2021. Completely selected on the fly. 

This curation is something different for me. Yet, it embodies well my ongoing curiosities. Most of this music is influenced by the strongly emerging Amapiano/Gqom/Afrobeat culture we are witnessing at this time. The novel grooves, rhythm complexities, staccato, syncopated punchiness, raw power and fire inducing feelings; Take notice, this is a strong movement.

Lil Cis is a bass and dub fiend who recently turned into a house and techno kween due to Vancouver’s eclectic underground scene. She wears the label of “rave mom” proudly for she is the co-founder of @goodnightout_vancouver a project based around consent culture in nightlife. She’s been dedicated to creating safer nights out for all but its now her turn to get a little silly and start the party.

Hailing from the Bay Area, Berlin, and beyond, she has energized hundreds of dancefloors across multiple continents. Aptly nicknamed the “Galaxy Beat Girl,” Tinker dazzles audiences with layered drum loops, playful bleeps and bloops, and lush sonics.
