80年代シカゴ・ハウス、90年代ゲットー・ハウス、そして00年代ジューク、シカゴ・ゲットーの歴史と共に30年以上のキャリアを誇るベテラン Cornelius Ferguson (コーネリアス・ファーグソン)こと Traxman (トラックスマン) aka Corky Strong (コーキー・ストロング)。 96年にEP「Westside Boogie Vol. 1」(Dance Mania )でデビュー、　数々のジューク・クラシックスを生み出したRP Booと並ぶシーンのゴットファーザーであり、  同レーベルからリリースの『Da Mind Of Traxman 』(2012)の大ブレイクによって世界にジューク / フットワークを知らしめた時のアーティストとなって同年初来日も果たす。国内トップのジューク・レーベル〈Booty Tune〉からミックス、 ハウス名義のCorky Strongでは〈Halsted Street〉より、 NYの 〈Lit City Trax〉からもセカンドにあたるアルバムをリリース。 〈Hyperdub〉のDJ RashadやDJ Spinも所属するシカゴの先鋭クルー[Teklife]のメンバーでもあり、最近では90年代リヴァイヴァルの波を受けゲットー・ハウス再評価によってコア・レーベル〈Dance Mania〉より「Westside Boogie Vol. 3」をリリース、ファンクやソウルに根ざしたオーソドックスかつエキセントリックなスタイルでヒップホップ・ファンからもプロップスを高めるシカゴ・マスター。
