The Inland Empire emcee, Celphi, is truly dynamic as his flow ranges from passionate to passive. Celphi is a native of Fontana, CA and began writing music at the age of 12-years old. Now a fairly-accomplished as a local artist, the 25-year old Celphi has ambitions of reaching national audiences in his quest to manifest the life lessons he’s learned.

The West Coast lyricist credits early Nas, Big Pun, Gangstarr, Hieroglyphics, Eminem and Bone Thugs ‘N’ Harmony as his musical influences.

Celphi’s latest projects hosted features from other elite artists in California. Artists such as Interscope’s Kendrick Lamar, and buzzworthy artists Curtiss King and Bellz were also featured on Celphi’s 2011 mixtape, appropriately entitled Cali Goldmine. Celphi’s mixtapes provide a platform for other local independent artists such as Stevie Crooks, Proper, Rayne, and Profit to showcase their talents. Celphi is part of the imprint BM$ (buy my shit, brothers making songs, beautiful music society). BM$ is home to celphi's brothers and frequent collaborators and  LZ$and Edgar Sosa.

Often praised for stage presence, the Fontana emcee has landed opening sets for artists such as Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Nipsey Hussle GZA, Evidence, 2-Mex, Scarub, Percee P, and R.A. The Rugged Man.

Celphi’s upcoming mixtape Graveshifters, is set to drop in 2013. The project will help music fans recognize the Inland Empire’s melting pot of talent.

Though the jukebox saw its heyday way back in the 1940s and 50s, it was not without utility. Not only did it look like something out of the future, it would pump out the best tunes, a la carte. And due to its limited capacity, only the best records would make it in. All in all, anywhere you chanced upon a jukebox, chances are you chanced upon a (debauchereous) party.

We believe that the modern day version of the jukebox has many of the same responsibilities.
