This special “Tapesh-feeling” is also recognisable in his own productions, which are released by top labels like Snatch!, Rebirth, Monique Musique,Defected or Noirmusic and by now get regularly played in Pete Tong’s world famous BBC radio show. But that’s not all: For those who live on the rest of the planet, Tapesh already started a huge world tour, which means even more locations, more fans, and certainly - more fame.

ALBERT MARZINOTTO

Albert Marzinotto was born in Portogruaro (Venice), 2 september 1989. Ever being in love with music, he began to study piano and guitar getting great results. He was only 13 years old when he starts as a dj finding his best musical expression with the house music.A step up the ladder happens when he becomes resident dj at the disco club TNT KAMASUTRA (Polaris house club), carrying out different collaboration with the greatest european and italian dj's; he had the chance to grow musicaly speaking, suggesting new sounds, tooking inspiration from the deep, funky and jazz musical scene. The pecularity that distinguish and make him original is the vinyl love (always present during his performances). His sets are creative and he never loses the chance to renew his style proposing very ecletic live sets playing the drum machine and the percussion pad. Since 2009 Albert is residdent dj of the HELP STAFF group of Trieste that organizes one of the best one-night in north Italy. At the moment he is busy with several musical production: some of these are available in the best music shop and online music stores (Beatport, i-tunes, Decks..)

At this moment, Global Bass music is an intimate circuit in the electronic music landscape. Airplane tickets and the internet serve to connect producers and artists in every imaginable combination. Spanning across Africa, Europe, India, the Caribbean, and the Americas, allowing for the birth of new forms of collaboration.  At the nexus of the Tropical music monsoon is producer Thor Partridge, aka Thornato.

Born in Sweden, Thor grew up in a household filled with traditional Greek, African, and Carribbean music.  Moving in early childhood to Queens, New York, the borough’s diversity further influenced his style and taste. Thor added to his rich musical palette by studying classical piano, jazz guitar, and bluegrass banjo. A passion for electronic music production, remixing, and music of the entire globe soon developed.  

Thor’s debut EP “Things Will Change” is an amalgamation of his global influence, coupled with strong roots in dance music culture. His music is not a product of samples downloaded from the internet, but from his driving wanderlust and ability to hand select musicians to work with on location in the countries where they are from.  By recording in the field with a mobile studio, Thor captures the real essence and soul of the music and where it's coming from. The EP kicks off with “Chapinero”, a bass heavy joint with an infectious Colombian Gaita melody.  Handclaps and chopped vocal samples make for a booming floor rocker.  “Deux a Duex” turns towards the African dancefloor incorporating infectious guitars and beautiful vocal harmonies courtesy of Kongo Electro from Cape Town. “Koz Kazah” heads to the Middle East with it’s violin melodies, thick sub-bass, and Arabic vocals courtesy of Karen Be. Finally, “Tera Dewana” lands us in the Indian subcontinent with it’s driving beat, tablas, and Hindi vocals from Vasanth S & AKS. 

Thornato's "Things Will Change" EP shows that while indeed the music does change, the soul and the heart of sounds from all over the world remain consistent, and that dancefloor music is universal - no matter where in the world you are!

Steve Bug’s golden ear for club-smashing tech house has rarely failed him, and his boutique Audiomatique label has been home to countless examples. 

With this latest release, the label homes in on the unmistakable sound of Berlin party rockers Kotelett & Zadak (@kotelettzadak) - fixtures behind the decks at some of the city's most notorious nightspots.

The Trees EP is perfect encapsulation of their vibe - trippy, narcotic grooves for the after hours.
The lead track is a atmospheric roller - the tough drums augmented by a drifting, menacing two note synth lead - proving the devil is very much in the detail.

'Obsidian‘ shows a slightly different side of the production duo - a deep jam with intricate sound design and a slowly evolving groove that develops into something completely irresistible.

'Sterrobastula' brings the EP to a fitting climax, tough yet incredibly groovy, with a taste of something slightly unhinged and profoundly hedonistic thrown in.

“Everybody knows the vocal sample from the St.Germain record ‘Rose Rouge’, but a lot of people 
don’t know the original track is by Marlene Shaw, from a live performance she did back in the days. 
It’s been sampled by a lot of other people like Bob Sinclar, Grandmaster Flash and the famous 90s hit 
from Blue Boy. We have a lot of memories with this vocal because we were growing up in the 90s. 
That’s why we decided to do our take on this one. The first time we played it on a big festival we 
were shocked how well it works… That’s why we decided to release it officially, along with a second 
version that’s more stripped-down and based only on the conga and djembe rhythms.” 
Rattling rhythms, hypnotic percussion, an acid line straight from the gutter of the ghetto and one of 
the greatest voices in soul history; this is nothing short of essential.
