Franke Madsen, aka KOXBOX, has been a favourite artist of ours and a master of psychedelic trance since the band was founded in the late 80’s.  Their track FUEL ON featured on TIP’s BLUE compilation in our Shiva series back in 1996 and is an unanimously verified classic!
We are so delighted to welcome back Koxbox to TIP!  Franke, the only remaining member of Koxbox since 2003, has treated us with a super blasting three track EP.  Each track exhibits the unique psychedelic sounds, twisted melodies and driving baselines that made Koxbox one of the most popular artists on the scene, and he still at the top of his game after over 30 years in the business! Killerwatts (Avalon & Tristan) launched 2020 with a remix competition to mark ten years of this amazing power duo creating massive dance-floor moments together.
After choosing one of their biggest tracks 'We are Psychedelic' as the track on offer, the songs parts were shared online and nearly 500 remixes were handed in from producers around the world.

The mammoth task of working through the remixes and choosing a winner was eventually trimmed down to these final three. Two massive psychedelic dance-floor remixes, plus a third more eclectic downtempo remix. 

Argentina based friends Abat & Space Travellers remix came in top by adding their own fresh sounds and quality production to their remix, taking the original to a whole new level and ultimately snatching first place. Deliriant from South Africa presented a different dynamic and a touch of stomp with his remix, while the very new act Incredible Science topped the list of alternative remixes with their broken beat Chill-Step remix.

To add even more international flavour to this Ep, the dance-floor tracks have been mixed and mastered by Mindspin from Israel, while downbeat guru Hedflux mastered the Incredible Science remix at his studio on the coast of Scotland. A true testament as to how wide Killerwatts music has reached, and how the collaboration of two great artists has created and even larger global collaboration in the name of music and psychedelic lifestyles.

In 1994, Raja Ram formed TIP Records, one of the original Goa-Trance / Psy-Trance labels based in the UK.  He had already been releasing music with his band The Infinity Project (T.I.P.) since the late 80's and after putting on, now legendary, TIP parties around this time, the idea to start a record label was conceived.

30 years on, TIP has gone from strength to strength with 100's of cutting-edge electronic music releases to date including highly respected classic dance music compilations right through to experimental downtempo and ambient music to a world wide (perhaps even inter-galactic)loyal following.

As ambassadors of the label, Raja Ram and DJ Lucas O'Brien (SuperModule) presented their label showcase touring the globe for over 20 years bringing the TIP sound to a wider audience.
The back catalogue reads like a who's who of the Psychedelic Trance scene and TIP helped many top artists to launch their careers.

Today, with a roster of sought after, quality and dynamic artists, TIP continues to bring music and joy to dance floors around the world!
