I remember Raja Ram coming into the first Tip Office back from the season in Goa in March/April 1995.  It was around the time that we received this first great track from the Astral boys.  He was excited and buzzing on energy and told me, "The future is so bright we need shades!"  He was right, Let there be light!

Sideform are Drasko and Milos and are from Belgrade.  The first release on Tip from Serbia and its a goodie.  The Serbian Psy Trance scene exploded in the early noughties and all artists came back talking of the incredible energy and passion at the parties.  So we are very happy to have our first act from one of the great new(ish) Psy countries.  Both have studio engineering backgrounds and are audio freaks.  This is a quality production that represents their take on things.  Great depth and atmospherics with a a laid back arrangement that leads to a powerful conclusion.  A band to watch if you weren´t already!  

Then we have a fabulous remix by Gnomes of Kush who bring a  very alternate take on it.  A  more direct, minimal, techy feel with a great punch and a monster kick.  Groovy and very infectious.

To finish off the package there is a ManMadeMan Remix of another Sideform track called "Destruction" originally released on Prog On Syndicate Records.  It does what ManMadeMan do in their typicaly UK fashion and draw the funk out into Psy Trance...adding a very danceable slab of juiciness to this EP.

There is also a bonus track on full release.  An alternate mix by ManMadeMan.

Borja, alias Dimension, was born in 1988 in Vigo, Spain. He started producing in 2000 and signed his first remix 9 years later to Paul van Dyk's Vandit label. These days Dimension is one of the best and most prolific trance producers in his native country Spain. He has received support from some of the best DJ's in the world like Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Ferry Corsten and many more. For his new release on Magic Island Records, Dimension presents an EP that drops three mouthwatering trance tracks. Starting of with "Verano", a truly captivating track sure to command the world's airwaves and dancefloors. The perfect combination of solid grooves and a buildup with a killer punch that will send shivers down your spine. "Verano" is followed up by "Canido", a perfect late summer trancer with stunning melodies and driving beats throughout the track. This is another debut on Tip.  Brightlight has been sending in music for the past year and his level has been rising and rising.  Always an interesting take on things with his unique uses of vocal samples and choice of sounds and his arrangements.   Entertaining psychedelic music.  With these tracks we felt he was ready for a prime release on Tip.  Its accompanied by a collaboration track with Tip regulars ManMadeMan which is a corker!  This track has ben doing the rounds at parties in the hands of a few hand selected DJ's and the responses have been phenomenal.  Very psychedelic, funky and hard hitting.  Already a hit.  We think people are going to "Make Up Their Mind" quite quickly that they need to "Focus" on this EP.

Quick bit from me: A few months ago I was asked to be a part of the "New Republic Mixtape" in honor of Imanos's signing with Republic records. I went through the republic roster trying to find the right fit for what I had envisioned I would submit for the mixtape, and when I came across the Florence acapella I was immediately brought back in time, to when I first hear the incredible original on the radio. I knew I had to try and put my spin on it, and after testing it out live time, and time again,here it is. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. Love you all.

In 1994, Raja Ram formed TIP Records, one of the original Goa-Trance / Psy-Trance labels based in the UK.  He had already been releasing music with his band The Infinity Project (T.I.P.) since the late 80's and after putting on, now legendary, TIP parties around this time, the idea to start a record label was conceived.

30 years on, TIP has gone from strength to strength with 100's of cutting-edge electronic music releases to date including highly respected classic dance music compilations right through to experimental downtempo and ambient music to a world wide (perhaps even inter-galactic)loyal following.
