Martian Arts is a very exciting new act on Tip Records.  It is Nectarios Meidanis from Greece.  "Nectar" for short and his fresh take on Psy sounds are like pure audio amber-Nectar! He has been  making  waves on the Psy Trance scene underground for the last year and is about to break big on the global circuit.  His sound is a refreshing blend of analogue and digital and we here at TIP love it. Deep, psychedelic, crunchy, funky.  Irresistible.  Involuntary dance moves guaranteed.

Here we also have another great instalment from ManMadeMan who continue to give Tip plenty of  juice of late with their remix.  And a rather special bonus track.   A Martian Arts mix of a classic by Cosmosis and Shakta called "Supernatural".  So good it's worth the admission price alone.

At Tip Records we are very happy to announce that we have signed Audioform and Black Noise to Tip.  They are great friends and collaborators with new Tip artist Martian Arts.

These 3 Greek guys are really exciting our ears with their fresh take on things.  They have been inspired by classic Goa sounds.  In feel and often in practise it´s less digital and more analogue and sounds all the better for it! Deep, chunky, psychedelic music with some hints of old school Goa.

To celebrate we are releasing this special EP. A track each from Costas of Black Noise and Pan of Audioform.  Then a collab between Nectarios of Martian Arts and Black Noise and lastly an Ohmidrive track which is Martian Arts with Audioform.

Space Buddha Vs Toasted - Connection To Psy (2014)

I started work on a Rikki Rokkit comp for TIP earlier this year and realised recently that by chance it is the 100th album release across all of my labels!    A perfect way to celebrate such an achievement and the title had to be changed to simply 100! 
The 6 labels I have worked on in the last 20 years are Tip Records, Tip World, Tip New World and also 10 Kilo (Breakbeat, Electro, Tech House), Surround Sounds (House, Tribal, Tech House) and Lucky 7´s (Electro, Rock, Indie Dance).

Over all this time, from early Goa Trance days and the genres of my sister labels, a lot of music and artists have passed under the bridge.  Maybe as many as 400 different acts and many styles.  I always tend to steer to towards the very deep, fat, rich, spacious, groovy sounds but still Psychedelic.  Deep Psy Tech Trance.  We feel there are moments for all styles and over 20 years we have shown that by releasing what we love from almost every style that has come along within the Psy and Goa genres but also many others. 

This album I hope sounds fresh, unique, without boundaries.  A more analogue feel perhaps.  A certain flavour of the old school mixes with cutting edge new ideas from some of the most exciting brand new acts mix.  Original pioneers of the genre like legends Man With No Name and Graham Wood of The Infinity Project mix with new acts like Black Noise, ON3 and Empirikal.  Add in some super talented guys with top level production history like Bus (Gus Till), Born Sleepy (Illumination) and Duotekk (Soul Seekers & Logic Bomb) and a collaboration between one of the most exciting new acts in the last year, Martian Arts with Rikki Rokkit himself,  and its one exciting, high quality album.  It´s  all about the music and not about latest fashions. Uncompromising.  Here there are varied BPM´s, there is no rush for big effects, just well structured psychedelic dance music by some people who know how to do it very well.  

For me the groove is in the space.  I hope I have found it here.  I only wish I had this collection on vinyl like back in the day...

01  Man With No Name - Into The Vortex

The sonic sphere can modulate our microbiological structure. Every vibration travels and hits a different cell, while shapes it according to its own temporal considerations. As these beats spread, they challenge our sensorium; they bring us closer to Transcendence. This allows you to break the boundaries of the normative configuration and explore new frontiers.  

This journey is navigated by two main pilots: Motion Drive aka Philip Guillaume from Switzerland, and Vertex aka, Nikola Kozić and Slobodan Gacesa from Serbia. Their voyage slides through new and remixed islands of sound, which crafts different modes of listening and of course – dancing! 

In order to join the ride you have to get out of your comfort zone and let go of all your inhibitions. Once you have done that, you can start the process of reaching Transcendence. It goes through avenues such as Dreamcatcher that was introduced by Motion Drive but got a new twist by Vertex. Then the roles reverse, and it is Motion Drive that reshapes Lifeforms’ Sex Panther. Now shuffle and rewind again, and reach a different Transcendence.

Since the release of The Glitch Mob's Love Death Immortality album in February 2014, YAARROHS vocals for the band's hit single, "Fly By Night Only," has reached over three million listeners and can be heard in a mass chorus sung back to the stage by fans at every concert across the country. The stand-out track received spins on pop radio stations ranging from SF's LIVE105 to LA's KROQ while the band's sophmore album took the #1 spot on both Billboard's Independent Album and Dance/Electronic Album charts. 

YAARROHS sultury and smooth vocals carried you on a flight over The Glitch Mob's extroverted production aethetics in "Fly By Night Only," but for her debut solo release, Flesh & Blood, the producer, singer, and songwriter delivers the sound of an introvert's dream - as innocent as it is dark and as acoustically minimal as it is emotionally complex.

YAARROHS takes your hand to dive into the fantasy with the first track, "Mountains,"  a flight across peaks of ethereal vocals and valleys of padded chorus before touching down into the underworld dream that is "Sub Rosa." Rooted at the center of Flesh & Blood is the world of "Atlas" and "Wrestle," the entanglment of wild abandonment followed by the fragility of falling deep through love and loss. The dreamscape echos the universe in "Stars" and ends with a rebirth into the Flesh & Blood of stand-out single and EP finale, "Amber."

YAARROHS solo debut EP Flesh & Blood is available at all major digital retailers through Glass Air Records on November 11, 2014.

This is a special release from Faders & Melicia.  Faders released an outstanding debut on Tip earlier in 2014 and has been one of the years biggest releases.  It was a collab with Audiotec and featured to killer tracks, "Artificial Minds" & "Psychedelic Tool".

Here this is an extremely well crafted, modern Psy Trance  track but with an extra charisma from the lovely Eastern vocal by Melicia.

In 1994, Raja Ram formed TIP Records, one of the original Goa-Trance / Psy-Trance labels based in the UK.  He had already been releasing music with his band The Infinity Project (T.I.P.) since the late 80's and after putting on, now legendary, TIP parties around this time, the idea to start a record label was conceived.

30 years on, TIP has gone from strength to strength with 100's of cutting-edge electronic music releases to date including highly respected classic dance music compilations right through to experimental downtempo and ambient music to a world wide (perhaps even inter-galactic)loyal following.

As ambassadors of the label, Raja Ram and DJ Lucas O'Brien (SuperModule) presented their label showcase touring the globe for over 20 years bringing the TIP sound to a wider audience.
