Mean to Me (Live at Remedy, Leeds)

The members of Leeds-based quartet TipToe are not concerned with trying to redefine genre boundaries. Instead, they celebrate the oneness of musical styles that are too often seen as distinct or unrelated. 
At live performances, TipToe play swinging grooves in uncommonly close proximity with more modern songs; all with a tremendous honesty and without even a hint of novelty or ceremony. This comfortable atmosphere rarely fails to translate to an audience, as singer Alice Higgins charms listeners with a fresh perspective on the music of Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald and more.
With a drumless setup of vocals, trumpet, guitar and upright bass, TipToe’s sound is intimate, stylish and above all, soulful. Their self-titled EP was released this year on PLAYORDIE Records.
