Piper, also known by Craig Piper, is a multifaceted artist who has managed to create his own lane and genre. It’s a unique blend that incorporates R&B, hip-hop, pop, rock-n-roll, house, and drum and bass. Piper found out he had serious skills as a singer—enough that they also used him in the adult church choir. Little did the then-young boy know that musical “seeds” were being planted in his soul—seeds that would eventually blossom into a lifelong love of music. By the time he reached middle school, Piper had added playing the drums, piano, and saxophone to his arsenal of musical skills. He also found himself getting into certain kinds of poetry.

Just like rap mogul and hip-hop pioneer Russell Simmons before him, Piper used his college years as a springboard. As a freshman, Piper met P Sharp at Victor’s House of Music and the two began producing and recording. So as Piper worked on his degree, he also worked on his music. By his second year in school, Piper founded PIPER Records and used his company to learn the business even as he continued recording.

Currently, Piper is lead singer/ performer in a band named (1984). This project is still in motion and will be the second project to be released from Piper Records. He also is working on an acting/directing career. You can see him in 50 Cent’s new film “Before I Self Destruct” ”. Piper is the creator, writer, director, and co-star of this real life drama series, which will be broadcasted on the new and popular thisis50.com. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has signed on as Executive Producer of the project who will aid in turning this webisode series into a full feature film. Piper is also known to have worked with major industry producers such as Mario Winans, Shoddy, and Mike T of Sugar Hill.
