There is absolutely no let up in the tempo coming from Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. DJ Kid met with Taiwan’s iconic hip hop DJ Chicano through a friend when he was just 15 and thus began his career as a DJ. He began participating in competition and garnered high acclaims with his unique blend of hip hop, drum and bass, and electronica. With accolades from participants and judges alike, he was invited to become the youngest resident DJ for Taiwan’s famous nightclub Plush at the age of 18. Known for mixing hip hop, dirty south, west coast, reggae, old school, and electro hop, in 2007 and 2008 he was invited to play at various clubs in Tokyo, Shibuya, Roppongi, and Shanghai. Receiving praises from all over Asia, he then worked with Jay Chou and Show Luo on their albums. In 2009 and 2010 he won the DMC Taiwan competition and went on to represent Taiwan in the DMC championship in England.
