Growing up between St. Paul and Staten Island, Q spent his youth traveling the country and avoiding the dangers of a life spent on the outskirts of the law. After narrowly avoiding time behind bars, he found refuge in hip hop which allowed him to share his innermost thoughts with the world. He quickly found an audience by uploading a few tracks to SoundCloud, and within no time his unique mix of modern hip hop and classic r&b had won him a reputation as an impossible to ignore artist.

My name is Mounlade, pronounced as(moonlad), I’m a singer songwriter with the goal to make the world a better place for us and future generations. I started producing and writing about a year ago and wonder everyday why haven’t I started sooner, I’m not here for the fame or clout, I’m just here to show my love for music and share my craft with other enthusiasts. I was born in the Comoros islands a little archipelago off the coast of Madagascar and moved to the US at the age of 20 after spending 2 yrs of college in Paris. Joined the military in 2010 which has been my primary source of income, did a couple of tours overseas and aimerons campaigns across the globe but most importantly made the best friends anyone could ever ask for. I’ve been playing the guitar for about 10 years now so I started composing my songs as a way to recount my stories, struggles and experiences by painting a picture to share with y’all so welcome to my SoundCloud
