On the cusp of dropping their debut album, the duo turn it down to take on the Slumber mix sessions. The sonically cosmic 'Mercury' will be released via Planet Mu later this month with featuring nine mood inducing atmospheric cuts that will take you on an intergalactic time travel but for now, its wind down time with Miracle. Night-night.

The Hunt, The Harvest, The Sea.  It's a cycle.  A promise we have made.  We hunt.  We harvest. We feed. 

A Winter In Summer is an apology.  It’s a sky bursting with flowers. An invisible love. An invisible sadness.   

Father is a childless man of Arabic origin.  He is a mandala, a prayer, a reflection.  



‘Run Back To Never’ is the intriguing debut EP from newcomers The Living Gods of Haiti. It consists of three darkly beautiful, atmospheric songs full of other worldliness and mystery.

Lead track ‘The Hunt, The Harvest, The Sea’ features ethereal, knowing vocals whispering over the top of a tribal beat that drives us through a relentless wave of synth.  The EP also features a stunning remix of ‘The Hunt, The Harvest, The Sea’ by BretonLABS.

Already played by Eddy Temple Morris on XFM and described by him as “the most beautiful song you will hear this year”, ‘A Winter in Summer’ has a languid deep bass line slow moving under a delicate, child like piano, accompanied by gorgeous vocal harmonies.

The final track ‘Father’ features ethnic drums beating underneath haunting chords.  Vocals shift between the bold style of the narrator, and the powerful, seductive chant of the Father.  

Taking their name from Maya Deren’s documentary film ‘Divine Horsemen: The Living Gods of Haiti’, this outfit is fronted by singer, writer, poet and video maker Rebekah. 

The EP was produced by Marc Collin, best known for his work with Nouvelle Vague.

There have been a lot of whispers and rumours about Thom Yorke's Atoms for Peace project since the band formed in 2009 to play The Eraser live. In the new issue of Dazed & Confused, the fabled frontman clears up the speculation surrounding Amok, his first group album outside of Radiohead, with one of his most in-depth interviews to date. He also talks frankly about his life and work, discussing his uneasy relationship with fame, that video for "Lotus Flower" and why he's still intent on bending people's heads of out shape. 

Also, stay tuned to Dazed Digital over the next fortnight, as we'll be enrolling 14 of today's most innovative producers, including Actress, Machinedrum, Flying Lotus and Arca, into "The University of Yorke". They'll be asking Thom a series of burning questions, plus much, much more.

A collection of interviews, readings, lectures and monologues, and an attempt to soundtrack these personal expressions with musical pieces that reflect a sentiment or an emotional undercurrent I believe to be hidden somewhere within the words. I am interested in the stoic stubbornness in Sun Ra's lecture, the lamenting hope in Woody Allen's confessional, the underlying calmness in Kerouac's depiction of a raucous jazz scene. These are words spoken by important creative minds; this is an experiment in listening to the voice of the mind as much as the voice of the throat.
