Heading up his own Room Trax label the young producer has slowing been making his way through the ranks with his tough yet refined and hypnotic sound. This well crafted EP is also backed with a stunning remix from the incredibly talented, Nørbak.

Title track, Divergence opens with warping baselines, tripped out synths and jacked up percussion. Slow Motion heads down a deeper more contemplative path but still packs attitude. Break Your Chains continues with the hypnotic theme but focuses firmly on power and drive. Closing out the EP, Techno’s latest rising star, Nørbak, deliver a creatively unique, broken-beat and atmospheric interpretation of title track Divergence.  with the Divergence EP. As a techno artist from the Netherlands, Dimi Angélis first got into the electronic music scene during the late '90s by promoting raves and warehouse parties in Amsterdam. Starting his DJ career around that time, Dimi has now been at it for over two decades, while producing his own tracks as well spinning. His path as an artist has taken him everywhere from Berghain and Awakenings, to Under Club and Dekmantel.

After teaming up with Jeroen Search in 2004, the first half of his career saw him release on labels such as Stockholm LTD, Construct Re-Form, Krill Music, Falling Ethics, Warm Up Recordings, Mord, Key Vinyl, Axis Records, A&S (which he co-owns) and his own ANGLS imprint. He also gained early support from artists of the likes of Adriana Lopez, Ancient Methods, Angel Molina, Ben Sims, Cari Lekebusch, Deniro, Dj Bruce Lee, Earwax, Fanon Flowers, Farceb, Johannes Volk, JP Enfant, Juho Kusti, Kaiser, Kangding Ray, Lenny Posso, Lewis Fautzi, Marco Bailey, Nihad Tule, Nuno dos Santos, O [Phase], Pacou, Roseen, Somniac One, Stefan Vincent, The Advent, and Tom Hades.

Dimi's new track "Sasquatch" is apart of his Underground Garden release. Being techno music made strictly for basements, the nasty kick and hypnotic loop in this track is surly to put you in a trance.

Premiere: Dimi Angélis "Sasquatch" - Tar Hallow

The 1st of April next month marks two years since the birth of mould.audio. For this occasion we have the pleasure of presenting the second instalment on our Collector's Series on the the label which was launched in November 2021.
[mldcs002] embodies Ruben Ganev's evolution into a deeper creative mindset and technical workflow. The project consists of four nocturnal constructs, which all together form a sonic trek which serves as a grounding tool for the body and the mind and thus continues the plot from the first instalment on the Collector’s Series [mldcs001].

The first ambient piece “Transition” serves as a prelude to the EP and the inspiration behind it is an ambient project made in 2003 by Virginia Zaharieva. The heart of the project, called House of Medusa, is a Roman Water Cistern in Istanbul’s Basilica, a place which gives us the vivid feeling of distance and space. It creates the sense of residing on a windy interplanetary station, or in catacombs where people and otherworldly creatures roam. A place which compliments the ones who are brave enough to meet their fears through embracing the unveiled shadows lurking in them to eventually illuminate a space for individual expression.

The second piece “Circuits” unfolds the sense of space created in the overture and evolves into sonic formations inspired by elemental natural disasters such as thunderstorms, earthquakes or witnessing magnetic or electro-static occurrences on a bigger scale. A combinational blend of poly-rhythmic structures serve as soil for sonic elements which symbolise such forces in the distance which are beyond our control. Thus the piece explores a realm in which there is a relationship between what can be “expected” and this which can not be foreseen, relating to the same occurrences in nature. Predictable, and yet only to an extent.

The third piece “Remnant” is about the archetypal journey of the hero: contrasts, challenges, losses, sacrifices and victories.
Remnant reflects what is left after all obstacles and what makes us worthy of an existence in a better world.

The fourth and last piece of the EP is a composition which also uses contrast in search of equilibrium.
“Navigator” is a ticket to another constellation of sounds, and with its tribal feel and warm low-end groove, it prepares us for a giant leap.
