House + Breaks + Jazz

Born in Cleveland, OH, the enigmatic producer Sound On Tape draws influence from legends El-B, Burial, Mr. Fingers, Kraftwerk and Sticky as well as deep seated Jazz icons Bill Evans and John Coltrane.

DJ Mag writes that his debut album Price is “rooted in garage, R&B, jazz and house, and brimming with sumptuous gems — the gospel-tinged ‘If You’re Free (Say So)’ and swooning garage / slow-jam hybrid ‘Burnin’ Out’ are particular standouts — it’s rich and heartfelt, the kind of album that stays with you long after the music stops.” Released via his own imprint 904L World Class Sound, the project sonically places him alongside contemporaries Overmono, Burial, Sammy Virji, and Emma-Jean Thackray.

With early remixes from rising UKG stars MPH, Wilfy D, Zefer, and House producer Mike Nasty, Sound On Tape is quickly becoming one of the most respected voices in the genre while keeping art at the forefront.

Trent Starkey aka Tnert. is a First Nations progressive psytrance/ psy-tech producer/dj currently based in Eora (Sydney)


Drawing inspiration from his indigenous heritage and the culture around sharing songs to tell the stories of the land on which we live combined with his interest in alternative electronic music has led to the creation of a sound that focuses on deep progressive percussion and sound design heavily inspired by psytrance, techno and left field bass music.

Brazilian producer Heitor Amaral, immersed in the world of music from a young age, has cultivated a lifelong passion for sonic exploration. This rich foundation paved the way for Heitor's formal education in Music and Technology at the University of Santa Maria, where he proudly earned his degree in 2018. 
Under the distinctive Zenon Records label, Fractal Joke emerges as an innovative proposal, blending psytrance and cinema elements to craft an immersive musical narrative.Fractal Joke embodies delving deep into progressive music layers that invite the listener on a unique sensory journey. Inspired by cinematic sounds, the project incorporates elements that transcend listening, transforming each track into an audiovisual experience.

Heitor Amaral Gonçalves, bacharel em Música e Tecnologia pela UFSM, é o idealizador do live Fractal Joke. Ligado à música desde a infância se interessou cedo pelos sons psicodélicos, em seguida escolheu a guitarra como seu instrumento principal. Em 2014 ingressou no Curso de Música e Tecnologia da UFSM dedicando-se ao estudo da Produção musical, mixagem e masterização. Durante o curso teve contato com o Psytrance por meio do Festival Trancedelic, e logo começou a estudar a produção musical dentro do estilo.   Em 2017 estreou o projeto Fractal Joke como live. A propósta do projeto tem como foco criar histórias sonoras com ambientação detalhada e melodias marcantes entre 140 e 145bpm. Dentro desta ideia, Heitor adapta-se ao cenário da noite ou do dia indo do progdark ao psytrance, mantendo a coerência sem se limitar à uma única linha de som. Carregando fortes influências da música instrumental como jazz e trilhas cinematográficas, suas tracks ganham uma dimensão musical característica.

Beyond the classical training of her youth, Serena Melanie quickly gravitated towards electronic music as an endless possibility of its sound design. With 22 years of stage presence ingrained she left behind memorised Beethovens to chase something more modernly inclined, constantly chasing the next sub-genre that she can add to the repertoire. Each set is curated for the audience that will be in front of her.

As a producer she is guided through seasons rather than genres, Serena Melanie's sounds are a record of inner states rather than a fixed identity. There is no allegiance to tempo or expectation, her music is a by-product of existence and decades of musical creation and instrumental fluctuation. This is the result of constantly moving between structures that pique her interest rather than trends.

Off stage she builds the digital front-line for festivals, venues, event brands and labels. If you’ve moved through the Australian electronic scene online, chances are you’ve crossed paths with her work without even realising it.

With 6 years behind the decks, her ability to bend between genres is becoming a signature trait. Having written her own songs most of her life and now confident in electronic production, her first EP has now been released on her own label Occvlt at the end of 2025. This is just the beginning for what she has envisioned.
