Hello and welcome to the very first episode in our brand new monthly mix series titled, GRA.Selects!

In contrast to our 2025 series, 'Styles', GRA.Selects is a mix series that has no stylistic or genre boundaries. It is purely intended to be a canvas upon which each of our curators can showcase personal musical selections that are near and dear to their heart. Each curator has been encouraged to experiment and find interesting connections between their selections to develop a very cohesive & unique sonic tapestry. When listening to each episode you will be provided the opportunity to peer into the thoughts & minds of each curator as they dig deep into their music libraries. 

We are honored to have GRA's newest member, Copi, lead off the series with a sultry and contemplative multi-genre mix blending music from across multiple decades. This 31 minute mix seamlessly navigates selections that encourage slowing down, reflecting, and taking deep breaths; ebbing and flowing between live instrumentation and electronic productions.

GRA.Selects | Ep. 01 | Copi

The first in a new series of mixes to come. Immediacy is and has been the burn principle I've struggled with most and have tried to nurture. I'm surrounded by mastery and excellence and find myself delaying my actions and creative outputs as I wait for the right time or obsess over the details for months. Years? 

As they say don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. This applies to my everyday life as well as my own musical adventures. I'm grateful for the life I have that puts me in contact with some of the best music and art around but those experiences can also intimidate my own creative endeavors. 

So this series which I've dubbed 'Rudderless' is an experiment to overcome that and release and share more sounds. That includes mixes of others creations and music of my own. I have some incompressible amount of music that I have collected over the years and only use and share a fraction of that library. Rudderless is an exploration of that music. With no plan just jumping in and discovering songs and artists that I have forgotten in the fog of time. The transitions and flow won't be perfect but they will be organic with the mood and mindset I'm experiencing at the time. 

Free from the boundaries of genre and perfection I hope to grow and release more mixes and vibes outside of the usual restraints I put upon myself. I hope you enjoy these as I plan to make these weekly or more often than that as scheduling and life allow. 

Like a ship without a rudder these will go where the wind blows. Much love <3

Butane and Riko Forinson return to Extrasketch with 'Still Buzzing', a five-track journey through the duo’s signature blend of deep, funky, and left-of-center grooves. Opening cut 'Undercurrent' fuses dub-soaked textures with rolling afro-percussion, setting the post-party mood into hypnotic motion. Disbelief follows in a haze: resonant and restrained, dreamy minimal house that flows flawlessly. Warped Intentions twists pitch-bent synths and shuffling percussion into a sly, funky workout as the restless mind refuses to be still. Finally, Butane’s two remixes push the concept full circle: one stripping things back to pure groove, the other turning up the tension for late-night floor damage. Equal parts heady and playful, 'Still Buzzing' captures the restless hum at the heart of the night’s lingering glow.
