Rachel Lorin believes in finding beauty in the non-beautiful, an incessant search that began with her roots in Atlanta, Georgia. Born in the South and shaped by New York City, she has a wide, diverse history in music, and at only 23, the singer/songwriter already has a storied career. From beginning modeling at 9 to singing the National Anthem at the US Open at 12 and then eventually launching her musical career on the reality TV series “Next Big Thing,” her experiences over the past decade have finally helped her find her artistic footing—she’s a rock girl in a pop world.   Rachel is dauntlessly authentic, now shedding her roots beyond teenage pop star into embracing the beauty that is hidden behind glamour. ‘ FUNERAL ‘ was written by Rachel in Las Vegas 2 years ago with her team, Curtis Martin and Rob Endling. The song is a modern and dark take of Christina Aguilera’s ‘Beautiful’. Everyone seems to be so focused on outer beauty these days and what conventional beauty is
 while Rachel focuses on what’s on the inside. She challenges herself to stop trying to fit in with the popular narrative and instead follow her heart. Darkness is beautiful, too. Life lessons and pain taught Rachel and she grew from it. Pain and hard lessons
 shaped the artist she is today. She has always felt like the black sheep, like she never fit in anywhere and she’s learned to embrace her differences that set her aside from others. She wrote this song to inspire others to love themselves the way they are,
 unapologetically... To love who they are no matter their interests and differences. She doesn’t mind being authentically weird and hopes others can relate and embrace who they are.

Rachel has constantly been disappointed by others, whether it be her expectations on them and their promises to her all the way to their expectations on her and who and what they believe she should be. Letting go of what others think and say and letting go of trusting and relying on others, she wanted to start always betting on herself. At the end of the day, you know you can always rely on you. Fake people are everywhere and reach out a hand with the hope and intent to watch you fail, but no matter how many times she gets let down, she gets up again. ‘Sink Or Swim’ is absolutely one of the edgier songs in Rachel’s arsenal, moving more towards an alternative realm. She wanted to show she has a tough side, a back bone and refuses to be stepped on and hopes it empowers others as this song so strongly resonates with her. Relationships and industries can be cut throat but Rachel chooses to bite back.

Hey everyone, here's my first tune of 2017.

Did this one - using a traditional iranian song - to chill with my friends at the very beginning of Kulkid, 3 years ago, and then completely forgot about it. 

Somehow, a few weeks back, my dad tells me he really loves that one tune from me, listens to it a lot  and asked why I never released it. So I sat down, upgraded it a little bit, and here it is today.
