alt-J are Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamilton and Thom Green. They returned in 2022 with their latest album, The Dream.  

alt-J are one of the most successful British bands of the millennium. Their 2012 Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello Award-winning debut An Awesome Wave, was followed two years later by their number one, GRAMMY and BRIT Award-nominated album This Is All Yours. Released in 2017, RELAXER flew straight into the top 10 of the UK album chart ahead of a summer of major international shows - including a headline show at London’s O2 Arena and headline performances at numerous festivals - and became their second album to be nominated for the Mercury Prize.

Ci eravamo lasciati ormai quasi quattro anni fa con una promessa, e siamo qui a mantenerla. 
Avevamo promesso che ci saremmo salutati, e siamo qui per farlo.

I To Kill sono stati l’avventura della nostra vita e visto che la fine è importante in ogni cosa, crediamo sia giusto uscire di scena guardando negli occhi voi che avete partecipato a questa storia tanto quanto noi sul palco.
Quindi il prossimo anno, prima dell’Estate, faremo due concerti di addio: gli ultimi nella storia dei ToKill. Sapete che ci piace mantenere le promesse e quindi non ci saranno reunion, non ci saranno altre occasioni, questo è quanto. Non ci saranno bis, non ci saranno stronzate da rockstar, non ci saranno attitudini fuori luogo: vi diremo quali saranno i pezzi che suoneremo e saremo lì con voi a fare del nostro meglio per far esplodere il locale, come abbiamo sempre fatto. Stavolta abbiamo più bisogno di voi, dopo tutto questo tempo lontani gli uni dagli altri.

Abbiamo già deciso con chi condividere questi due eventi, abbiamo già deciso dove farlo, ve lo comunicheremo al più presto, appena avremo conferme definitive. Vi ringraziamo con tutto il cuore, ma davvero questa è la nostra parola definitiva e non intendiamo cambiare piano.

Vi ringraziamo, speriamo siate emozionati almeno una frazione di quanto lo siamo noi.

To Kill has been the adventure of our lives and since the end is important in all things, we feel it’s important to leave the stage looking all of you, who took part in it as much as we did, in the eye.
So, next year, before summer, we’ll play our last two shows. You know we like keeping promises so there won’t be reunion shows, there won’t be any other chance: this is it. There will be no encores, there will not be weird attitudes: we’ll tell you which songs we’ll play and we’ll be there doing our best to tear down the venues, the way we’ve always done. This time we’ll need you more than ever, after all this time away from each other.

We have already decided where, when and with who we’ll do this, we’ll tell you more as soon as we have final confirmation. We thank al lof you with our hearts, but this is our last word and we intend to keep it.

So, thank you all, we hope you are a but as excited aboutthis as we are.
