Frisk films Alphys, puts it on Undernet and gets cancelled. 

She lost BOTH her crushes. People never seem to mention that she apparently had some attraction to Asgore (according to Mettaton anyway). I'm not saying they were serious feelings, or that I consider Alphgore/Asphys/whatever a particularly good ship, but it's got to make it sting a bit more.

Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore VI, the King Papyrus ending, details an ending in which everyone who could be killed by Frisk was killed with the exception of Papyrus. He's the ruler of the underground by default now, and he does his best to keep morale up in an underground more hopeless than ever before. Humans are to be treated as targets of puzzles, no matter their moral alignment. At least that's Papyrus's goal. His subjects might not be so keen on that.

Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore III, the Exiled Queen ending, details an ending in which only Undyne and Asgore have been killed. Toriel tried to claim the throne, but threats of a coup quickly sent her back to the Ruins. Now the Underground is in a state of instability and semi-anarchy. Humans are to be treated as...well, it's unclear right now, but it's not good.

Alphys takes the role of Gaster, though she functions a bit differently. You do actually meet her on your journey, rather than her being lost in the files. In fact, meeting her is necessary for the Pacifist Ending. As for how she got to be the way she is here...after losing her crush at the hands of Frisk, she "mysteriously vanished" deep into the True Lab. No one has seen or heard from her since.
