i think this is the most foreboding and tragic out of all the aftergore waterfall tracks; everything seems slow and kind of empty, but that's the intent obviously. this is a timeline where the surviving monsters have no one to guide them, and they feel like a dreadful fate is looming upon them, yet some continue to fight back for everyone's protection. also the hint at big bob is interesting. ;)

After the Ruins were devastated by the human, not many monsters remained. There were no monsters to really take on a leaderly role, and out of respect for the fallen queen, the remaining survivors left Toriel's house alone. Nonetheless, the lack of upkeep means it's still not in very good shape.

The NPC known as the Nacarat Jester takes the role of Sans. Their smile has persevered through thick and thin, and they've taken an adamant stance not to stop smiling, no matter what. Even in the aftermath of Frisk's massacre, they still won't stop smiling, and they live life as though nothing changed. It's...honestly pretty creepy.

In this take, Chara and Frisk take the role of both W.D. Gaster and the Vessel respectively.

- Chara chose Frisk (who replaces the Vessel) as a subject to set off on a brand-new journey throughout the isles for reason that is not known yet. Unfortunately, this course of action was immediately halted by the strange man himself. Chara reached out to some people from the Shadow Realm through spiritual contact and voice. Afterwards, these people began to go insane and all they yearned for was a peaceful SILENCE.

- Frisk is one of the human characters stranded in one portion of Dawnside Isles. They seem to have been living there for at least a month. To survive, they have built a hut and campfire for the night. Sometimes they visit the beach to check if someone or something is sailing nearby, hopefully they can return home.

The intro scenario is inspired by MOTHER 3's, namely showing parts of the islands and eventually end in Frisk's hut. They will be shown sleeping at first, and then you will enter your name before they wake up. Instead of creating your own character, AETHERCREST's introduction begins with a legitimate tutorial with some quests added before a certain man interferes and messes it all up.

This track plays alongside Long Elevator during the harmless route. Frisk and Chara take a moment to reflect on their adventure together. Chara will note that at times they may have been harsh or skeptical, but that Frisk has truly, pleasantly surprised them. As a token of gratitude and trust, they offer Frisk their flower crown and old dagger, warning them to use it only as a last resort.

With one of the Skelebros having disappeared and the other never being around, the once vibrant Snowdin Town has lost its chipper demeanor.
