Filmed with only director Giuliana Foulkes and their wife animator Charlotte hong, on location in my bedroom with nothing but a projector, some smart-plugged lamps and a few doves, on my birthday December 11, 2020.

I wrote this song when my best friend and uncle Monty Lawton was in the hospital during lockdown and I was unable to be by his side.  He had loaned me a Zoom H1n field recorder to document my ukulele songs, and when I opened up the files I found a piano improv he accidentally left on the memory card. I made my first ever loops using sections of that improv, which fit perfectly with a melody I had recorded weeks before.  I wrote and recorded the vocals in one sitting and sent it to him that day. 

Bedroom walls is about depression and being unable to see outside of your own despair, but caring so much for another person who you know is also struggling, and begging them to try.  It's about friendship, memories, and not being able to be near the people you love.

He loved the song so much that he bought me a mixing board and gave me his old mic setup.  That gesture of support made me believe my songs might be worth something to someone else.  I realized they might be worth something to me. This song led to the creation of my album "Girl Bird," coming soon on all platforms.

This is a spoken word introspective poetic pieced pair with improvisational keyboard and guitar solos with a house/techno backbeat.   Inspired by the Warriors movie soundtrack.  Somewhat dark, yet hopeful feeling.
