Brand new and also wonderful I am Boho episode by Anna Aloka from Kyiv. In our last chat this morning she has told me that she is currently sitting in the shelter because of an air raid alert in Kyiv. When I listen to such stories, I could cry a thousand tears, which I literally did yesterday.

Our thoughts today are with our music friends and all other peaceful people in Ukraine and Russia. May this conflict end as soon as possible. War renders people unfree and is the enemy of all creativity. Peace.

Please support this one as much as you can. For Anna, for her family and all the people that are suffering from the war in this world.

It has been an incredibly special experience for us to perform in our little village that we built next to the magnificent Tree of Stories at Afrikaburn 2023.
Ubuhlanti means a sacred gathering, and it’s been a true celebration of African dance culture this year!  It’s an amazing feeling to play in the artwork we created, a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is hard to put into words. The time, sweat, blood, and tears we shared are the stuff that makes friends for life. We’ll be back next year, see you in the dust!
