We are proud to present a recording from the archives of Romanian artist Dan Andrei, and this recording is worth the wait. A name that is synonymous with high-grade electronic music in all its many forms, his work behind in the DJ booth is matched by few, as every set results in a truly mind-expanding journey. A constant in the [a:rpia:r] core setup, he has been at the centre of the Romanian minimal community since he decided on his chosen path. This meant that he quickly outgrew his homeland and was then called upon to soundtrack the world's best parties with a constant touring schedule that has taken him near and far. Sorin Simon, born and raised in Transylvania, Romania, also started with classical piano before diving into the world of electronic music. His sound moves between hypnotic and trippy atmospheres and deeply groovy rhythms, blending minimal, microminimal and microhouse influences. In 2017 he founded Unknown Tales, a London-based label dedicated to forward-thinking electronic music.

Tobias Laun, of Italian and German origin, discovered his love for music in early childhood when he began playing the keyboard, a passion that has stayed with him ever since. In 2016 he co-founded Vivus Records with Daniel Broesecke, and together they have built a respected platform in the underground scene. With releases on Baile Musik, Tzinah Records, Seism, Solina and his own label, Tobias has developed a unique sound marked by deep and atmospheric minimal techno, enhanced by surprising vocal elements that appear when least expected.

Together Sorin Simon and Tobias Laun deliver an immersive set that embodies the energy of the Vivus Showcase, a journey through minimal grooves and hypnotic layers recorded live on the dance floor of Renate.

Having both Italian and German origins. His love for music has started in Tobias early childhood when he developed a powerful passion for playing the keyboard which hasn’t left him since. With impressive musical knowledge and an ever-evolving fascination with electronic music, in particular, Tobias has decided to start Vivus Records alongside Daniel Broesecke in 2016. Since then, the label has mirrored his brisk rise in the underground scene and he is definitely one to keep an eye on.

With previous releases both single and with his partner in crime, Daniel Broesecke under the Da.TO, at labels such as Baile Musik, Tzinah Records,Seism, Solina or in his own Label Vivus Records. Tobias Laun has managed to build a career that moves as quickly as his 4/4 beats.

When Tobias plays, you can expect an astonishing journey that will deliver a delightful fusion of minimal techno sounds. A perfect combination of deep and atmospheric vibes will make perfect use of the occasional peculiar vocals that will appear when you expect the least.
