Here's one from my archives!!! Vintage Gatecrasher at its best!!! This recording was exclusively broadcast live on the Kiss Network from Gatecrasher, The Republic in Sheffield on 25th May 1997!!!

This mix will take you back to the very heart of "The Republic" as clubbers raved until the early hours of Sunday morning!!! Over the years, there were numerous Gatecrasher transmissions featured on Kiss/Galaxy FM, but I only ever managed to obtain this one live set. It's hard to believe that this was 17 years ago because the tunes still sound fresh by today's standards!!! Whether you are an experienced Trance veteran or new to the scene, listening to this mix will remind you of what it is about Trance that you love or enlighten you as to what proper Trance is all about!!

... Wir bedanken uns bei JayDee für´s dabeisein und musizieren, der uns wohl bekannten und immer wieder geilen Mucke von damals, schön das du es einrichten konntest ;-)... Da ich ein wenig später kam, ist es leider nicht ganz komplett, ich hoffe ihr könnt mir nochmal verzeihen ?! ;-) ... Leider ist auch hier hin und wieder ein wenig zu viel an den Reglern gedreht worden, was dann zu der einen oder anderen Übersteuerung geführt hat, aber es war ja für einen guten Zweck nä :-) ?! Auf jeden Fall war´s ne echt fette Sause und ich hoffe, es dauert diesmal nicht sooooooo lange bis zum nächsten mal ... So dann liebe Leute, genießt es und verteilt es und habt Spaß, die anderen Künstler folgen dann auch noch bei Gelegenheit ...

At the early 80s, there was no Technics no CDs no Traktor, i mixed on Thorens MKII, at the Big Club at Dorian Gray in Frankfurt, starting from 21:00 untill 11:00 next morning, no break no drugs, when music in Clubs was pure soul, everything mixed together Rap, Disco, Soul, Electronic, New Wave. i DJed there from 1982 to 1985 with the best Lightjockeys in the World, Ferno Madmud, Frank Hildmann, Andreas Röhl and Uwe Heinzelman. Without this fantastic journey i would never become such a successful Musicproducer and Songwriter. Thanks to Gerd Schüler and Michael Presinger to let me rock there Club

Over Christmas 2014 I needed a break from recording
my album, searching online for a song I recalled from
my youth, I fell into a rabbit hole of thousands of
YouTube playlists and posts, rediscovering the songs
my friends and I would gather and listen to as
13 & 14 yr olds every Saturday in East Berlin on Radio DT64
(now Berlin's Radio Fritz).

I stumbled back to the future, collecting over 5000 songs
on YouTube, learning for the first time the artists behind
the songs we heard almost 25 years ago.

The forthcoming trilogy is the result of 18 month
of building edits from YouTube recordings and stitching
them together off-line. I could not include every song,
nor indeed even the entire tracks from this small period
until 1993, so this is my personal history of electronic
music arriving in Berlin.

This trilogy will not be sold, it was a labor of love,
born of nostalgia and made for sharing.
