Alcatraz, wen der Weg dort hin führte, der war für lange Zeit gefangen und ein Ausbrechen galt praktisch als unmöglich. 
So erging es auch Tobsucht, dem gebürtigen Landshuter, als er im Jahr 2000 zum ersten mal den Club Alctraz in Landau a. d. Isar besuchte, benannt nach der legendären amerikanischen Strafsvollzugsanstalt. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt zählte das „Alc“ zu einem der angesagtesten Läden in Bayern, der auch weit über die Grenze des Freistaats bekannt war und in dem sich Top Act’s  der Szene, wie Rush, Liebing oder Adam Beyer  die Klinke in die Hand gaben.
Seither ist er gefangen von der Faszination Techno,  welche Energie und  Euphorie sie in jedem einzelnen hervor rufen kann. Jeder Fluchtversuch war und ist zwecklos und eine vorzeitige Entlassung ist ausgeschlossen.

Auf der Suche nach neuen Clubs, Eindrücken  und Alternativen zum Stammclub sind Tobsucht  und seine Freunde schnell in München fündig geworden. Egal ob es im U-Schall, im Nachtwerk oder in einem anderem Schuppen war, immer wieder zog sie der 4/4 Takt aufs neue in seinen Bann.

Während sich ein Teil seiner engen Freunde, wie das DJ-Duo Held & Kauer  oder P.A.T, bereits seit einigen Jahren der Liebe zum Auflegen hingegeben haben und sogar ein Residency im Club Bauhaus inne hatten,  hatte er nicht das Verlangen, deren Leidenschaft zu teilen. Erst 2008 kamen die ersten Gedanken auf, selbst für die musikalische Darbietung zu sorgen und somit  folgten die ersten Versuche hinter den Plattenspielern. Die eigenen Technics, Mixer und genug Vinyl waren schnell geordert und so nahmen die Dinge ihren Lauf. 

Im September 2009 gab es dann den ersten Gig im Club Bauhaus, dem schnell weitere folgen sollten und  wo er sich bald als Resident etablieren konnte. 
Ab Januar 2010 ging er beim  Internetradiosender Tekksounds.de, der von einem langjährigen Freund betrieben wird, einmal wöchentlich mit „Tobsucht’s Soundaudienz“ auf Sendung und konnte schnell eine große Stammhörerschaft verbuchen.
 Im September 2010 ergab sich dann für Tobsucht die Möglichkeit, im Kn4st zu spielen, welcher zum damaligen Zeitpunkt die angesagteste Eventlocation in und um Landshut war und gegenwärtig auch noch ist. Mehrere Auftritte im Kn4st sollten nicht lange auf sich warten lassen, was schlussendlich auch hier zur Residency führte. 
Ab November 2011 gehörte ein grosser Teil seiner Aufmerksamkeit dem Bauhaus – Bassment, in welchem überwiegend Underground Techno im Fokus stand und für das er auch das wöchentliche Booking bis Februar 2013 mit lokalen Acts und befreundeten Kollegen aus anderen bayrischen Städten übernommen hat. Zusätzlich schaffte er es, um nur ein paar hier aufzuzählen, mit Bookings wie Angy Kore, Torsten Kanzler, Niereich, A.Paul oder Sven Wittekind richtige Hausnummern in der Szene ins kleine beschauliche Landshut zu lotsen und dem Bauhaus und seinen Gästen unvergessliche Nächte zu liefern.

Den 1210ern hat er mittlerweile komplett abgeschworen. 4 Decks und Maschine sind momentan die Elemente, mit denen er versucht, seinen Sound noch individueller und einzigartiger zu gestalten und die Vielseitigkeit des digitalen Auflegens zu nutzen.

„Als DJ bist du auch Entertainer und musst dem Publikum immer das Gefühl vermitteln, dass du selbst pure Freude an deiner Arbeit hast, selbst an einem schlechten Tag. Der beste Sound bringt nichts, wenn man nicht authentisch rüberkommt und der Draht zu den Gästen fehlt“

Druck, Bass und Härte sind die Eigenschaften, die seine Musik umschreiben und mit der er meist zu späterer Stunde versucht, jedem die letzten Kraftreserven  zu entlocken.
Wer schon mal das Vergnügen hatte, Tobsucht live zu sehen, der weiß, dass  er nicht nur beim Sound immer Vollgas gibt. 

Er spielte schon mit Größen wie Gayle San, Torsten Kanzler, Alex Bau, DJ  Rush, Felix Kröcher, Sven Wittekind, Niereich & Andreas Kraemer, A-Brothers oder Hackler & Kuch zusammen.
