Delighted to host @osare-editions influence mix on Oddity Radio.

@elenacolombi : The OG mix was recorded for you around a year ago. It showcased a lot of inspiring women - past and present - in music and art.. it was closely connected to the 'Donne Che Corrono Coi Lupi' release that came out last December on Osàre!. For this reason when you announced a long delay of the Oddity website / project I thought it might be best to air that mix via NTS [04.10.21] instead, keeping it close to the release date of the cassette. 

So the mix I am sending you today is mix #2 : A selection focussing entirely on upcoming artists and music on Osàre!. 

Some of the music might not come out for a while, so the track-list is partly top-secret. Still, I couldn't think of a better way to showcase what the label is all about!! I hope you enjoy it.

Elena Colombi - Oddity Influence Mix

This mix is a deep dive into the legacy of a record collector that generously passed a crate of one-of-a-kind gems to @skism and me. We know who she is, but she decided to remain anonymous. In return we promised to make a mix and the project became a fascinating journey into the past of a music lover with a sweet spot for forgotten folkloristic music from remote places around the globe. On the other side of the spectrum we discovered a lot of krautish ambient excursions, some classical music and some very inspiring Jazz records. Known and unknown stuff. Old and contemporary. We tried our best to a create mix which pays tribute to all these influences and failed a couple of times before we finally came to a result: 
A trippy ride from Asia to the western hemispheres and back.

Tripped out sounds of today dubbing those of the past through a new echo chamber... Getting in gear with a steady pace ready to move forward into the unknown and uncover all the new things to come. for this episode we got @ndjinn as our guest. he is the real deal, no need for instagram, you‘ll catch his music on soundcloud and in clubs in and around berlin. not only are his technical dj skills unheard of, but also will he mezmerize you spinning everything from ambient to disco to house and other forms and shapes of electronic dance music.
