Chop Suey (Original)

The Melt is a SF Bay Area funk outfit featuring members Todd Bugbee - Guitar, Jeff Stevenson - Hammond B3 & Keys, Mingo Lewis Jr - Drums., Harlan Rollins - Bass and Nick Hasty - Sax/EWI.  The music is a blend of funky original compositions and jazz fusion.    We are high energy, intricate and very danceable with a strong, funk-groove.  While we focus on original music, the band is heavily influenced by some amazing musicians such as John Scofield, John Medeski, Stanton Moore, The Meters, and many other heavy-groove oriented artists!
