Folks, this song is my special tribute to those exceptional musical artists, bands and orchestras who live and breathe and even sleep with music in their hearts, minds and souls.  It is also for those of us, both young and old, who enjoy falling asleep while listening to our favorite music. "Hickey" is the third single of seven released as part of a new and exciting project I'm working on with my producer, Wayne Silver, of The Ice Plant Studio in Long Island City, NY (the remaining four singles will be released between May and September, 2020). Of my first 3 singles, Hickey is the most adventurous! We not only explored digital sounds and effects but also dusted off Wayne's Moog Memorymoog and Sequential Circuits Prophet 5. What we wound up with is a somewhat spooky "Stranger Things" vibe reminiscent of 80s pop that I absolutely love - and hope you do too! 

As a young artist, I am working to develop my unique style, so a lot of exploration and experimentation is currently taking place in the studio. The songs from my previous album employed mostly standard "rock band" instrumentation (i.e., guitars, drums, keys, and bass - and ukulele). This time around, I wanted to go beyond my comfort zone and embrace the unfamiliar. I hope you enjoy this, my third foray into the infinite realm of possibilities!
