Unseen

Thought it was Impossible

I danced beside blue oceans 
dangling feet in its calmest tides
but then the wind marched in
a menace
so I crossed the line
yea I’m off maritime 
and I’m prone to drift on salty breezes 
gently waving like I’m with the sea
so far away from me 
and 

Some things aren’t meant to be 
and the oceans are getting bluer 
getting rough and tasting bitter
and that reminds me 
that the sea is a part of me 
maybe I could part the sea 
like its been parting me
yea
I crossed the line 
yea
and I’m off maritime 
well 

I’m no sailor 
could be mermaid could be reef
cause that’s the sea in me
and I’m no killer I’m no thief
still getting all that grief
just a salty sea
bathe us in its blue 
yea
I crossed that line
