	For over 20 yrs Common Ancestor has been a stalemate in the ever growing Northwest music scene. Their music has touched many lives and their live shows are even more incredible. Jamaican born Clive Stewart and BMI recording artist is the rhythm guitarist, lead vocalist and creator of the band.  He is also the main song writer and producer. He blends his West Indian roots with a funky, rock sound he simply calls "J'roc" (pronounced Jarock which is short for Jamaican rock). Common Ancestor's music is filled with love and passion for our fellowmen. The name of the band is symbolic that we are all descendants of the first created man and woman. The goal of the band is to bring social change through music one listener at a time.
