Some of you will remember Martin Swanstein aka Martinez from the Cocoon days, the beauty that was this collective, he sat alongside Raresh, Ricardo Villalobos, Onur Ozer at the time.... always an incredible artist as were and still are all of them to this day. 

My friendship with Martin goes back years, he has a feature to him which I deep admire, he is that guy that even if he is not playing he takes a flight to simply party and as much as I would advise you to check out his sets and productions on numerous labels (latest on bandcamp, Mission Drift EP is fire), the reason I publish him here is another, our shared love for UK Garage. From the several sessions where we exchange tracks Martin then recorded this mix which to me was no brainer, I needed to put out.

Yamen & EDA vous présente pour la première fois chez Rinse leur sélection de disques fraichement dénichée. Un podcast librement inspiré du dancefloor.

Officiellement lancé en 2011, le duo Yamen & EDA a été remarqué par le label anglais ‘One records’ d’Adam Shelton et Subb-an.

Toujours soucieux d’encourager de jeunes talents, Adam et Ash les invitent alors sur des showcases du Label à la Fabric à Londres mais aussi au Sonar à Barcelone ou encore au Below à Birmingham.

Depuis, Yamen & EDA ont continué leurs sorties sur des labels aux sonorités house et techno comme Shotgun, Elephant Moon, ou leur propre label Maison Mere et ont été joués par des personnalités importantes de la scène comme Raresh, Sonja Moonear, Hamish & Toby ou Apollonia. Dernièrement, le duo a sorti trois disques remarqués, « Lockdown » en 2020, « Kamé House » en 2021 et « Casa Pizza » en 2022.

For the third episode of our podcast series, we are thrilled to welcome Hamish Cole, who has been organising in London & Leeds the Butter Side Up parties for 8 years now, inviting numerous legends and break-through artists. He recently launch his own label named after the parties - the first release has been produced by fellow Bristolian Christian Jay and remixed by the lovely Youandewan.
Back in june, we have been amazed by the b2b between Hamish and his partner Toby Nicholas at Concrete, a all night-long ending with flawless mixes and rare UK tech house stompers. We then asked Hamish to do a podcast for us - here's the result.
