I’ve been making beats and jamming live exclusively on hardware for years, but being practically a nomad for over a year now meant I didn’t always have access to my studio. So I embraced mobility and kept it simple: this is my first full production made entirely in stock Ableton, with a touch of guitar. An ode to my early electronic influences, and the first step toward building more discipline while channeling expression.

The Mexican imprint Tenampa is back, and this time travels to Miami for the Winter Music Conference 2018. Showing off some of its fine new signings of artists that you might already know, and some others that you might not, just yet. 
Featuring 5 new original tracks ranging from deep vibes to tech house, from Spain to Germany, and from Argentina to Brazil, and always passing through Mexico.

"Nōpi is a newborn producer project from Ukrania. Established in early 2019, Nōpi was able to score releases on significant labels and his continuous flow of giveaways has quickly gained him some recognition. We are happy to help the young talent on his rise to the top and showcase 2 groovy, melodic house tracks, supported by our dreamy family-members Yoni Yarchi and Daniel van der Zwaag.

Daynight is able to deliver a bouncy and energetic baseline groove, further enforced with tight shakers and warm percussions. Gentle piano chords and soothing vocals are layered upon the bases and build a coherent atmosphere, that is characterized by subtle textures and smartly placed pad-sweeps.

With peculiar tension, main title track "The Forest" opens up its intro. A collaborating space of fieldrecordings set the mood of this song, while patient piano melodies and a warm, low-end bassline push the production forward. Subtle chants and an array of pads, create a haunting atmosphere - An adventure of mystical soundscapes, that is reshaped by our NWS-dreamers Yoni Yarchi and Daniel van der Zwaag.

Yoni's remix immediately takes a brighter and life-affirming turn, by implementing an uprising & warm bassline, energetic percussions and a flourishing synth, that is playful and charming. Elevating pads and charismatic textures, give Yoni's take and innocent feel in the most positive way.

A beafy low-end and hypnotic rhythmics are the foundation of Daniel van der Zwaag's deeper approach. The symbiosis of the lonely piano with wide and open soundscapes, create the atmosphere of a lonely walk in the woods. The complementing layers of a pushing groove and an intimate top create an interesting feel, that keeps up the mystery of the original, fortifies it and reflects the story of a forsaken place.

Opener Holy is a deep, spiritual tune with rolling rubber drums and hypnotic pads as well as organic samples. Air is heavier, with deep bass and lots of spacious atmosphere and Spiritual then goes into the cosmos, with gentle pads and sci-fi motifs that encourage your mind to wander. Air (Ethnic Version ) is an afro house rhythm with loose, tumbling drums and Spiritual (Ethnic Version) is a late night trip into intoxicating percussion.

As well as their much talked about residency in Ibiza at Heart this summer, Do Not Sit continued to hold down the underground house sound they are so well known for back home in Miami, and made waves across the world with always deep, spiritual, journey sounds that make a true emotional impact. Here, the best tunes of 2019 are all served up to give a great overview of this most tasteful and considered label.

There are gems like Seth Schwarz's 'Animals At The Watering Hole,' Modd's spine tingling Vishaya, Ruede Hagelstein's enchanting 'Dort' and the majestic melodies and cosmic vibes of 'Ventura' from Dee Montero. Elsewhere, Re.You takes you on a hypnotic house trip, desert house champs Death on the Balcony layer up superbly tender vocals and chords on two different contributions, and Miyagi, Wild Dark and El Mundo & Zazou all add to the deeply immersive feelings and heady grooves.

Mika has an incredibly warm and deep voice. Deep as in tickling the low end of the frequency spectrum; and deep as in touching the deepest thoughts and emotions of the listener. Manuel Meyer has been involved in a remarkable amount of different Electronic projects for a remarkable amount of time already - yet he’s a remarkably humble producer. Both have the same hairdresser; which again is how Berholter came into existence. Together the duo creates the musical counterpart for that mellow feeling of inner warmth that lingers in the chilly air of the big city at the beginning and at the end of a long club night. In the twilight of pop-infused uplift and subtle melancholia Berholter present two irresistibly catchy tunes.
