Take a look over Ashley Burchett’s back catalogue and you’ll find the Greater London resident has played an understated yet influential role in purporting British techno. Fifteen years ago Burchett’s prevailing Ø [Phase] project debuted on Sheree Rashit and Steve Bicknell’s Cosmic Recordings before providing Cosmic ID with its final record in 2002, and since 2007 Burchett's helped mould and define the sound of Token by becoming the label’s marquee artist.

In 2013 the Belgian imprint finally coaxed the debut album from Ø [Phase], Frames Of Reference, described in Tony Naylor’s 4/5 review for Resident Advisor as, “a techno album of real imagination and depth that, when it needs to be, is brutally functional.” Almost two years since its release Ø [Phase] is back with Alone In Time?, his second studio album which adds to the continuous slew of unrivalled long players Token has put out of late. Token spreads the 11-tracks on Alone In Time? across three heavy weight discs, and the music further demonstrates Burchett’s deft skill in linear arrangements shaped to fit the warehouse frame, while painting a colourful, Detroit influenced side to his productions yet to really be heard to this extent before.

This uncharted sound of Ø [Phase] can be found in tracks like “Remote”, the album’s homage to electro, to the jittery, alien grooves of “Spacialize”, “Mo_del” and “Nep-tune”. There’s big room domination on productions like “Orbitron” and “R-Mash”, while the album’s title-track is a journey through Burchett’s conceptual references to cosmology, time and isolation. Burchett explains, "it was always an intention to make another album and now just felt like the right time. Life moves on, we change and grow. As lessons get learned and ideas form, the desire to express them gradually manifests."

Furthermore, Burchett adds, “Frames Of Reference was about overcoming personal struggles and challenges, while Alone In Time? is more forward facing.” With an extensive back catalogue in his wake, Ø [Phase] has become a relied source for the discerning techno DJ and these new, expertly crafted club cuts add to his ever-expanding pool of productions for selectors to choose from, and it’s clear, if the bouncing rhythm of “Blind Eye” and orchestral epic of “The Maze” is anything to go by, Ø [Phase] isn’t only head strong, but standing tall.

Chambray’s sophomore record is set to launch in mid-February via Jimmy Edgar’s Ultramajic outpost. Work That, the Berlin-based producer’s follow-up to the Rub EP, stays true to the label’s signature style of staccato functionality. Rigid beats, lightning claps, and catchy vocal blips abound throughout the four-track on the digital-only release, as do flashes of ghetto house’s dogged vocals and dusty hi-hats. Chambray strikes a balance between rigorous, inflexible workouts and jewel-bright melodic elements with dreamy synth breakdowns on the title track and a clipped piano part on "Anew.“

He is a techno producer with many releases on international labels in both digital and vinyl formats. He is head of Informa Records and their latest release “Informa Experiments Volume 2” includes great tracks by Giorgio Gigli, Takaaki Itoh, Ben Gibson and Deepbass. He collaborates with top quality artists from around the world and is often on tour in different countries. Check his Gigatools for upcoming shows in Holland, Portugal, Malta and Germany.

DEEPBASS (Informa Records) - UK 

Deepbass was introduced to the scene in 2009 his music is best described as deep, dark, atmospherical techno.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland. His passion for electronic music started from a young age where he would spend his weekends in record stores searching for music, he discovered artists like Speedy J and Jeff Mills who really opened his eyes to the world of techno.

He started producing music in 2008 and from there his sound evolved, always minimalistic, elements of ambient, hypnotic rhythms and deep rolling bassline's.

In 2010 he launched his label Informa Records as a platform to express himself and to explore further into his brand of deep techno.

The label is going strong has now had to opportunity to work with artists such as Modern Heads, Cio D'Or, Mark Broom, Edit Select Echologist, Ness, Hironori Takahashi, nAX_Acid and many more high quality artists.

Deepbass has had a string of releases on some great labels such as Soma Records, Dynamic Reflection, Aconito Records and Planet Rhythm 

He has a number of live shows and Informa showcases under his belt which have taken him to some of the worlds best clubs including Space, Ibiza & Berghain, Berlin.

Dengue Dengue Dengue (@Dengue) have an enviable ability to whisk together the traditional and electronic. Their debut LP La Alianza Profana was a stellar example of just that - a cumbia-cum-electronica joyride dip-dyed in all the right amounts of psychedelia and mystique. 2014's follow up project, Serpiente Dorada EP was no less of a trip. And now with July 2015 here, the Peruvian pair are providing a sneak peek at their next move. "Murdah" is four minutes of footwork-paced hysteria that showcases a step up in tempo. Unrelenting drum pounds, a percussive tribal backbone and rapid-fire vocal chops become locked in an aural bull-fight that's both infectious and dancefloor-ready.

Dengue Dengue Dengue "Murdah" - Boiler Room Debuts

Introducing themselves with an acclaimed double LP in 2013, the Zeitgeber team of Lucy and Speedy J. provided a master class in elemental, unconventional techno. Utilizing a creative mixture of pinpoint rhythmic accuracy and tonal depth, the team made good on the high expectations placed upon them and delivered an expansive sound not indebted to any currently active musical movement. Each successive release from this production duo makes it clearer that Zeitgeber is no casual "side project", but a serious artistic commitment that aims to be more than the sum of its parts. Following the debut album, Zeitgeber has contributed a sublime piece to Stroboscopic Artefacts' five-year anniversary series, and now returns with an EP-length release that fits seamlessly into the ever-diversifying 'Monad' series of musical mutations.
With "At The End of The World," the listener is immediately welcomed to an unfamiliar sonic terrain where all seems sentient and shapes spontaneously arise from the darkness. Propelled by slushy beat cycles and adorned with discordant (but infectious) mid-range sequences and wavering machine hum, it's a successful conjuration of terra incognita that rewards patient listening with a melange of hidden details. "An Extraordinary Man" accomplishes very much the same effect with a different palette of flavors: riding on shimmering waves of pure tone and with an unorthodox bass kick pattern at its center, it is a slightly lighter
take on the opener's atmospheric immersion, but again with plenty of mystery coded within its sonic minutiae (here the incidental noises appear and disappear with the tantalizing quickness of winged insects or hypnagogic speech.) The following "Absent Minded" is anything but; being a highly focused and carefully concentrated display of android groove: even as the most "traditional" piece on the EP, it still places the listener in the thick of a busy virtual environment where slightly out-of-phase processes combine to make a compelling tapestry in motion. Wrapping up the proceedings is "Quantum Verse," a confident look towards a distant horizon: this closer produces its unexpectedly optimistic conclusion with a blend of plucked synth- strings, controlled feedback and playful time-delay manipulations.
For current fans of the Zeitgeber aesthetic, these four selections will keep enthusiasm running high. For those not yet familiar with Zeitgeber, these tracks will provide an excellent introduction to a unique program already in progress. Monad XX is electronic music that opens a window onto the invisible cities of its authors' imaginations, and does this well enough to help listeners construct invisible cities of their own.

Back in May, we Debuted a track called "Just"; you might just have heard of it. @feelmybicep are no strangers to breakout belters, but even by their standards this one has been picking up a heap of plaudits. So naturally we're more than willing to help facilitate their next step toward world domination, especially given as it arrives via their own cherished namesake imprint.

This, the title track from another forthcoming collaborative release with Hammer (an artist the Belfast boys are putting serious muscle behind) is equally tense and beguiling. It hooks you in from the word go, with a nagging piano lead, ooft-y mini breakdown and shiver-inducing sirensong calling through the mist. Close your eyes and you can imagine "Dahlia" laying waste to festival stages – oh wait, that actually did actually happen at Bicep's homecoming BR. Go figure.
