The title is a play on words, since we're referring to a musical cannon and I contend that the original cannon was improvised parts over a set chord progression. So perhaps we come full circle with this. In this one, the chord progression gets some variation as well since who can handle the same chord progression over and over, (except thousands of newlyweds?)

The Guys in the band came by last night for a Wednesday night recording session. Johnnie Hot Dog, Billy Boy and Laszlo. They said they didn’t like the published version of Dream Dancing in Hollywood. Billy Boy hated his “stilted drumming.” Johnnie Hot Dog said he was bored playing the same bass lines over and over again. I told him to play the same notes, that I would let  him date one of the Ghost Girls after the session if he did. So he did. Madam X, my ghost girl, was pissed at me for wanting her to dance with the guy. But she did. Two other Ghost Girls showed up wearing tons of perfume. They dug the music, even though they are deceased. Happy Halloween. 2025 SHR
