The original track inspired me from the beginning, I loved the #handpan harmonies mixed together with peaceful vocals.

My touch is about respecting the main elements and emphasizing the nostalgia & hope with the melodic saxophone lines and bassline.

I want to thank Giolì & Assia for creating the remix competition giving to producers the possibility to express themselves, and Brendan Mills, my friend and saxophonist that helped me with real saxophone lines recordings.

“Echoes Within” is probably the most honest track I’ve made so far.
I wanted to create something that doesn’t rely on volume or production tricks, but on what remains when everything else is stripped away. No big arrangement, no gloss – just space. Voice. Feeling.

I kept the vocals low, clear, almost spoken – no effects, no shine. Because not every emotion needs to be loud. Sometimes the quietest things speak the most truth.

The surrounding elements – pads, ambient textures, low subs – are just there to support. Not to lead. I wanted the track to feel like a breath, like an inner voice in a moment of absolute stillness.

It’s about presence. About what echoes inside when no one’s listening.

Echoes Within

“Mwito wa Mababu” is one of the most personal and profound collaborations I've ever been part of.
Working with SAFA MOYA felt more like answering a spiritual call than making a track. Her voice doesn’t just sing – it remembers. Through every phrase, you can hear the echoes of generations and the pulse of ancestral ground.

The idea was clear from the beginning: to keep the essence pure. We built the song around raw, acoustic elements – claps, foot stomps, kalimba – recorded in open, natural space. Nothing synthetic. No tricks. Just the human voice, leading and responding, connecting to something older than all of us.

And then came the moment of expansion. For a brief passage, we opened the door to a cinematic deep house atmosphere – just enough to carry the spirit further without distorting it. Pads, subbass, and a gentle pulse that breathes beneath her voice, like a memory carried on wind.

This track is a call across time, a song for the soul and the soil. I'm incredibly proud of what we created together. Thank you SAFA.

"Echo" is one of the most personal tracks I've written. It’s about that moment when someone’s presence still echoes through your life, long after they’re gone – not just in memory, but in sound, in silence, in the spaces they once filled.

The contrast between the female vocals and the raw rap sections reflects exactly what I felt during the writing process: softness and pain clashing with anger and clarity.

Musically, it’s rooted in RnB – emotional, direct, vulnerable – but carried by the steady pulse of deep house, like a heartbeat that refuses to stop.
