Sounds are really interesting things, even if they are made up of false or incomprehensible pieces. Can you make something meaningful out of them? I experimented with that in this music, adding a little instrumental music as well.

We wrote this track trying to imagine what it feels like for people who once made music in a real, organic way, then discovered how easy it is to use AI to pump out songs and make fast profit.
Some of them even deny using AI vocals… even though the same two-to-four AI voice timbres show up across basically all AI-generated songs, not just in one profile. Anyone who listens a lot can recognize them instantly.
And the ironic part? Many musicians go under those tracks and write huge compliments about the “amazing vocals,” taking them at face value.
We’re not anti-AI. AI exists and it's here to stay.
We’re against the indiscriminate and unregulated use of AI that disrespects the work of people who actually make music.
This song isn’t a rant.
It’s satire. A snapshot. A reminder that creativity still matters… no matter what trend is taking over.

This song came from one of those quiet November moments when the world feels cold and still, and you’re not even sure what you’re grateful for — but you feel it anyway. It’s about standing in the middle of winter’s chill, watching the bare trees, hearing the wind, and realizing there’s a small fire inside you that refuses to go out.

It’s cozy and reflective, like being wrapped in a blanket while the wind howls outside. It’s about finding warmth even when things feel frozen, seeing a glow even on the gray days, and letting the winter teach you how to grow.

Sometimes gratitude isn’t loud or obvious. Sometimes it’s soft, simple, and quiet — like snow falling or a low-burning fire. This song is my way of holding onto those moments and sharing that warmth with you.

Restless Mind

This is the third track in my experimental PM series.  These tracks are written, recorded, sampled and performed in a single two hour sitting.

This does mean there are one or two mistakes, but that's kind of the point. It's as close as I can get to improvisation.

This track was based around some samples of electric guitar which are very heavily processed using Other Desert Cities. I pitched one of the samples up by an octave  and layered it over the top. Something  about the pace of the track suggested drum and bass to me which led me to the bassline (again played on an electric guitar but this time pitch-shifted down an octave) and the beat. Full disclosure, I did cheat a little bit here by pulling in a drum'n'bass beat sample from Bandlab but in my defence I don't reckon I could have constructed a beat like that in 2 hours, even if I had the skill to do so!

I really like this track, I think it hits really hard when the beat drops, especially the second time. I also really like the slightly menacing rolling drums in the background in the first section. It is all pretty intense though so maybe not for everyone!

As usual, I ran it through SubmitHub to see what genres it thinks the track is. And as usual, the results were surprising!

UK / Happy Hardcore (41%)

Experimental Electronic (21%)

I have never heard of Ghettotech, and I'm not convinced this qualifies as Happy Hardcore, other than it's pretty fast at 160 odd bpm. But that's what SubmitHub says so who am I to argue :)
