A side is a more club-ready, percussive take on the soulful house classic, ‘Tricks’ by Restless Soul, rest in power the mighty Phil Asher. While the B side flips the seminal Eskibeat instrumental, ‘Stormy Weather’ into no shame Funky number perfect to reflect the slightly warmer weather we’ve been having recently.

Paris-Born, French-Creole artist based in Montpellier, Tom Manzarek has a vast and eclectic sound, inspired by the beat-scene of 2008-2018, English broken-beat, zouk and Jamaican dub.

In 2018 he co-creates Piñata Radio, a online plateform broadcasting artists from south of France and around the world, before starting his own label Plaisance Records in 2021.

Like in his productions, Tom Manzarek (real name Thomas Berthelot) enjoys mixing genres in his DJ sets, from electronic sounds (house, broken-beat, garage, jungle) to more organic ambiances (hi-hop, jazz, zouk, disco, riddims, etc.).
