Artamidae is a Creative Audio Practitioner currently nesting in the global capital Dubai, originally from the wilderness of Tasmania at the end of the Earth. He specialises in Live Electronic Performance, with his hybrid hardware-software kit his sound is dark progressive, minimal techno, heavily influenced by IDM and Psy-Trance. He is described by Saytek as “having elements of the deep and dark Berlin sound that I love”.

Presently compiling a bank of online content through live-streamed improvised performances on Twitch and YouTube. Artamidae is currently working through a list of high end mixing and mastering projects compiling a showreel of online content to include on artamidae.in a web site acting as a window to the many-faceted skills of the Creative Media Practitioner including; high end mixing and mastering, composition for film and gaming, post-production audio and creative Multimedia collaborations.

Out of a burning emotional need, caused by an eluding sense of purpose, Artamidae has evolved from a culinary artist, solo-singer songwriter hailing from a unique urban folk storytelling tradition. Rumours circulate that Artamidae was raised in the bush by the Thylacine and would run with the devils at night, smoothly turning his hand to playing bass in a sludge metal band and fronting a progressive alternative rock band in the late 2000s. 

The musical seeds that were sewn undertaking a Diploma in Jazz/Popular music on Guitar and working with multimedia projects for art exhibitions, dance performances. He has finally, swallowed in the grit of opportunity and culminating in a keen obsession with recording and producing electronic music since 2003, Artamidae is the first flight for a wild, untamed audio artist and creative media practitioner. Picture a little blue penguin about to jump from a high rock ledge into the ocean for the first time, fearing the unknown but compelled by instinct, staring at his appendages feeling comfortable knowing they could be either wings or fins.

Currently in his final year of a BAHons Degree in Electronic Music Performance and Sound Engineering, with Point Blank Music School,  Artamidae loves making content for the community and helping you get the most out of your music and media projects.
