Following on from one of the most sought after reissues of recent years ‘MUSICA PARA EL FIN DE LOS CANTOS’ on Berlins Cocktail D’amore, Iury Lechs debut LP ‘Otra Rumorosa Superficie’ is made available for the very first time on Vinyl launching the reissue division of London based Utopia Records set up in 2015 by Alexander Bradley. This cassette only release from 1989 is a minimal masterpiece practically unheard until now. Arguably a more complete album than De Los Cantos, Originally composed for two short films ‘Final Sin Pausas’ and ‘Bocetos Para Un Sueno’ as a full score the arrangement is a beautiful listening experience spanning through ambient, meditational and cinematic minimalism of real depth, romanticism and sincerity.

Iury Lech is a Ukrainian born multidisciplinary artist, whose main focus now is as the curator of ‘Madatac’ a festival based in Madrid focused on new media art, video art and audio visual technologies which has featured the work of Brian Eno amongst many others. During the late 1970’s and 80’s he rose as a pioneer within a moment focussed on electronically generated audio and visual media. Drawing on the ground gained by Minimalist pioneers like Steve Reich, Terry Riley, and Philip Glass - built from repetitive rhythm and sheets of rippling resonance, drone, and ambience, Lech’s work of the period is so striking and beautiful, that it seems shockingly unjust that it was overlooked until now.

The album comes in 180 gram vinyl edit form with full cassette version on USB on purchase of record. Utopia Originals sets out to promote and reinvigorate music and artists in the most authentic way possible. 'OTRA RUMOROSA SUPERFICIE’ has been remastered from original master tapes at Central Dubs, Bern Switzerland and the original artwork licensed through argentine visual artist Pablo Siquier.

Fortunately for Alice she was just in time to see it pop down a large rabbit hole. She ran across the field after it and in another moment down went Alice after the rabbit. Down, down, down, she went...to Wonderland!

Trendsetting keeps within the spirt of “It Ain’t Looking Good” by taking it’s inspiration from people I meet at work and the neighborhood I work in. Two youth I know were really proud of having fake Yeezy Boost 350s. I have never been into sneaker culture but have had friends at various points in time that were. I had never seen Yeezys before, and don’t like Kanye's personality, but I had to find out more about these shoes. I eventually went down the rabbit hole and learned more about counterfeit shoes. It reminded me of a scene from the movie “I’m Gonna Get You Sucka,” where they were talking about fake gold necklaces making your skin green (at least I think it was a scene in that movie, lol). It also reminded me of a time I went to Malaysia and someone I knew was following lead after lead, into alley after alley, to get the highest quality imitation purses and watches. Capitalism. Consumerism. Well whatever. lol

Huge shout out to Bitzone, DeeP, and Frawstakwa for regularly reaching out to make music with me. I am grateful to have so many collaborators and online musical friendships. You are all the best. Having friends to make music with and a community to share creations with is what matters the most.

Lyrical theremin

I propose you my personal interpretation of the music of a survival video game "The Long Dark - Wintermute -" composed by Cris Velasco and Sascha Dikiciyan, in which we embody a pilot who crashed into the icy nature of Canada and who must fight for his survival after a global that plunged the world into a new ice age. We are alone in the world and in the cold.
I arranged my own version of this music on piano and violin and made a video on the theme of survival and cold ... to refer to this video game ...
I have not played yet but it was my husband who tested it and asked me to make an arrangement at the piano because he found this theme very beautiful and dramatic.

Je vous propose d'écouter mon interprétation personnelle de la musique d'un jeu vidéo de survie «  The Long Dark  - Wintermute –«  composée par Cris Velasco et Sascha Dikiciyan où l'on joue un pilote qui s'est écrasé dans la nature sauvage glacée du Canada qui doit lutter pour sa survie après une catastrophe planétaire ayant plongé le monde dans une nouvelle période glaciaire. On est seul au monde et dans le froid. 
J'ai arrangé ma propre version de cette musique au piano / violon et réalisé une vidéo sur le thème de la survie dans le froid...pour faire référence à ce jeu vidéo...
Je n'y ai pas encore joué mais c'est mon mari qui l'a testé et m'a demandé de faire une interprétation au piano car il trouvait ce thème très beau et dramatique.

Il y aura un autre cover de jeu vidéo à venir mais le thème sera toujours la survie mais dans le monde des zombies cette fois-ci  !!! Attention aux âmes sensibles pour la prochaine vidéo !!

The Long Dark Theme

They enclosed inconceivable apparitions in their rough, gold-striped pear-tree wood. A head of a Merovingian style, resting against a bowl, a bearded man, at once resembling a Buddhist priest and an orator at a public reunion, touching the ball of a gigantic cannon with his fingers; a frightful spider revealing a human face in its body; the charcoal drawings went even farther into dream terrors. Here, an enormous die in which a sad eye winked; there, dry and arid landscapes, dusty plains, shifting ground, volcanic upheavals catching rebellious clouds, stagnant and livid skies.
