A retrospective look at the journey we have seen S.Mouse take during Angry Boys. I've always felt that Chris Lilley could have told so much more of S.Mouse's life story...was it just me or did others also feel that not enough of the backstory of s.mouse was shown to the viewers? or that the reasons for s.mouse's rocky relationship with his father were not explained sufficiently?
In comparison with We can be Heros and Summer Heights High, as a viewer i never really felt i had a strong grasp of who the characters were in Angry Boys...which is a shame as S.Mouse, Blake, Jen and Gran could have been really deep characters with intriguing back stories. For example, I would have loved to see S.Mouse's attempts to get back into a record deal, seeing him try and worm his way back into a contract and the doors slam in his face (i feel) would have added to the sense of the character's desperation to regain his fame/confidence/identity/father's approval etc etc.
