Bermuda born and bred nu.cents, fell in love with DJ'ing while growing up in a record store during the mid-90s and after relocating to NY, he began experimenting with Hip-Hop production. His music influences range from Pete Rock, J Dilla, Madlib and Flying Lotus to Massive Attack, Stereolab, Radiohead and The Gorillaz. His style and sound are constantly evolving, yet reminiscent of [adult swim] bumps - blending raw and gritty boom bap breaks with trippy samples. His mission is to inspire and motivate, while keeping heads nodding.

Gonzalo Silva, known globally as DJ Reck, is a dynamic DJ, remixer, and producer from Union City, New Jersey. As a key member of the renowned Jersey-based Brick Bandits Crew, Gonzalo has made a significant mark on the music scene. He co-founded popular local parties such as #THREAD, TroPicante, and Moombahton Maxxin—the first official Moombahton party in NYC.

With a diverse musical library that spans various genres, Gonzalo has cultivated a distinctive sound that resonates within the NYC/Tri-State underground scene. His Latin heritage and the rich tapestry of multicultural communities he grew up in inspire his signature style, often described as 'Urban World Music.'

Armed with a vast collection of tracks, deep musical knowledge, and an exceptional ability to read crowds, Gonzalo consistently delivers unforgettable performances. His turntable and mixing prowess have earned him recognition on platforms like MTV and Mad Decent, as well as features on influential blogs such as Do Androids Dance and Generation Bass. He has graced stages across New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, Texas, and beyond.

Through Grounded Music Education, Gonzalo is dedicated to mentoring aspiring DJs, teaching the fundamentals and helping students develop their skills and confidence in various styles and techniques. With every set, he aims to rock the party and create lasting memories.
